GOP states are embracing vouchers. Wealthy parents are benefitting. Most of the beneficiaries are incoming kindergarteners or students already enrolled in private schools.

As voucher programs expand, they worsen. In states with universal voucher programs, more of the public monies go to students already in private school and to wealthier families.

I’ve been saying for years that sports newsrooms are wholly unprepared for this political moment. imo it’s journalistic malpractice not to have a writer on staff who can cover trans sports stories well. But I can’t even place freelance coverage at this point. It’s so bleak.
