Wow, getting reposted by the creator of my favorite of all the new Trek series is an honor! Thanks!
For those who might be wondering, this is my pick for the daily Trek prompts by @shelfnerds.bsky.social. Feel free to play along!

#ParallelTreks Ship
The Enterprise D from the slightly more purple universe.
This is one of my favorite deep-dive jokes in Lower Decks. Both because of how obscure it is, and because I have this toy. In fact, after this episode aired, I found mine and immediately added it to my Trek Christmas tree.
Awesome! Great minds, and all that. ๐ Something about this simple effect grabbed my attention as a kid. It's always been a favorite of mine.
Not necessarily out of regret, just curiosity, or even thanksgiving. But as Picard learned, none of us would be the same person had we lived that different life, and the alternate life may not be one we would want to have lived. I thank God for the choices that led me to where I am now.
#ParallelTreks Life
Tapestry. This episode hits me different now at 45 than it did as a teenager. I don't know many people who, by this point in life, haven't at least wondered what their life may have been had they gone done another path with their career or a relationship or some other decision.
#ParallelTreks Ship
I've always preferred the original visual effects on TOS. This simple but effective shot introduces us to the USS Enterprise's mirror counterpart, the ISS Enterprise, and clues in the audience that things have changed for the away team.
Thanks. Hopefully I can start popping in more and getting back into the prompts soon. Have a blessed Lent!
One Ash Wednesday a few years back, as I was going in to apply the ashes, this lady suddenly moved her head forward right into my hand, and the ashes spilled off my thumb down her entire face. I felt terrible, even if it was her fault. Didn't quite look this bad, but it didn't look good. ๐ถ
I once played a PA deck in a world qualifier tournament at Origins 2000, for fun. I'll never forget when one opponent said "that was cool" as he played his own PA. I had 3 in my hand waiting for him. ๐ He tried that a couple more times with no luck. I lost the tourney, of course, but won that match!
I used to collect autographs on my STCCG cards. Collected a few dozen over the years back then. I got one half of The Trois signed by Marina Sirtis years ago. But sadly, Majel Barrett passed away before I could get hers.
#TrekTwos Firsts
It's been a while for me! But it's a new month of prompts, so let's get back in the game!
My two firsts. The first two episodes of Star Trek I ever saw were The Corbomite Maneuver and Charlie X. TNG quickly followed. Little did I know what I was getting myself into.๐
Nice! Our minds went in the same direction. I've not been to STLV, so I went with cons in general. But great minds...!
I love this one! Historic and iconic.
#TrekIcons Iconic Fandom Moment
Conventions! The panels, dealers, cosplay, and autographs. Meeting other fans, interacting with the actors... I bet many of us have a bunch of stories of memorable and iconic convention moments and experiences.
I love this video of Anson Mount on what it meant for him to record these words for the opening credits of Strange New Worlds:

#TrekIcons Iconic Captain Moment
One of the most iconic moments in Star Trek is the famous speech recited by the Enterprise captains in the opening credits. Who among us can read the words, "Space, the Final Frontier," and not immediately hear the voice of Kirk, Picard, or Pike.
Nice pick! Great minds... ๐
Thanks!
I loved this so much--something so ridiculous being canonized--that I went digging through some boxes right after I watched this episode to find my Purple Enterprise. It was given a place on my Trek Christmas tree this past year.
#SciFiPremise Alternate Universe
With a reference so obscure only Lower Decks could pull it off: While repairing quantum fissures, the Cerritos encounters an Enterprise and Commander Data('s head) from a slightly more purple universe.
#ScifiPremise Superior Being
After uploading himself into every Federation computer, Badgey became a superior being. "I have unlimited power and infinite knowledge. I exist in the past, present and future... Well, I'm going to go to an empty dimension and create a universe now."
Sure, I'm assuming it was a teaser. Still, I enjoyed those scenes that rounded out the characters.
Nice! This was always one of my favorite Trek books. Easily in my top 3. I still have my old original paperback, creased and well-loved after multiple readings in my earlier years.
Fun pick! But I will never be able to see this again without thinking of Ransom and Shaxs. ๐
Good question. I've only ever see that one short clip. I've never gone looking to figure out what convention this was at, or if the full video is available somewhere. Hmmm...
Nice pick! I don't remember that from the episode. I need to check it out.
Nice pick! ๐คฃ It reminded me of this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5Xv...
#GenreTrek Games
Bat'leths and BiHnuchs - As someone who used to play a lot of Trek games (shout out to any other STCCG players out there!), the fact that the lower deckers also play Star Trek games made me love them even more.
Now I want to play the old VCR board game again.
#GenreTrek Day in the Life
"Cause and Effect"
After getting caught in a temporal causality loop, the crew of the Enterprise experienced this particular day in the life over and over for 17.4 days. "I am experiencing nIb'poH, the feeling I have done this before." Worf
I'm glad you found her. I'm sure you're not the only one who has done that, so I made a post directing other people looking for her. Thanks for the heads up about her!
