Oh cool! I love the ability to grow heirlooms and specialty plants from seed. I got into house plants in 2020 , tend to favor dramatic variegated foliage, and since last year I’ve been growing edible plants on my patio! Lots to learn with every passing year of gardening.

of course, it’s fun and means a lot to me! I’m sure we’ll do more, so maybe you can make the next one! What type of plants are you into?

On the table, there are runner bean and tomato starts, self-watering containers, baby succulents, and cuttings from various berry bushes. Access info: Come Forever is a ground floor space with no stairs, a wide door, and a wheelchair accessible bathroom. Wheelchairs can access the entrance by entering the sidewalk via a curb cut at the corner of S 5th and Hewes St, approximately 200 feet from the Come Forever door. Masks are required while inside of the space and KN95 and N95 masks are available on site. Events that offer food do so outdoors in open air. Please DM or email Come Forever with accessibility accommodations or questions.

tbc, mask-wearing has much bigger implications for my health and the people around me, but socially I’m finding similarities!

For me, both come from a similar place: deciding something’s right and then stubbornly sticking to it.

thinking about the analogy between being being a dedicated mask-wearer and being vegan. Complicating logistics of eating with others, potentially seen as preachy, people having a “good for you, but I could never” attitude. Fostering special spaces that cater to those needs and values.
