Seeing the PS5 Pro get a price increase to $899.99 is solidifying my thinking that the PS6 is going to be $999.99 (or more) unless the global shortages (e.g., RAM, Helium) get sorted out soon.
Xbox Project Helix, my gosh ... $1499.99? Who knows?!
Also thinking a Switch 2 price increase incoming.
Thatโs exciting news. Hopefully they can open it faster than Embers turned in Badlands. They greenlit and built the entire Ritz faster than Badlands managed to open.
I'd almost buy a ticket to Japan for a meal like this. Saving this place for my next Seattle trip.
I feel like the Steam Machine is also going to be dang near $1000 (or more). A PS5 Pro is already $750 and each of these have more silicon die area and RAM than that. And Valve and Microsoft seem uninterested in subsidizing the cost based on future software and services sales.
Husband and I did this a couple weeks ago and the flight alone had me on my ass. It felt like a bottle of wine worth of alcohol. They are delicious though.
The sunset at the coast and its reflection off The Ritz.
Am I becoming a book girlie?
The vibes off these photos. Immaculate.
If I hear a sample from "I'll Believe in Anything" by Wolf Parade (the song from the Heated Rivalry Ep. 5 center ice kiss) I start to tear up. And you know what, I like it here.
Also, I've read all six books in the past two weeks. I read the last two books in a 36 hour window. I like it here.
Retro game haul today, both PS3 titles on my want list. Both with the old Spiderman font.
Ridge Racer 7
Katamari Forever
Completed another game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, ten years in the making. I bought this game in 2016 shortly before we decided to backpack around the world and priorities shifted. As a big fan of Metal Gear, this has been a gap in the canon for me. Not anymore.
Loved D-Dog.
A step in the right direction is a step in the right direction. I have heard city and county jobs take a long time for the hiring process to reach fruition. Sending good vibes.

The core for me was just manually logging calorie values and seeing where I stand for the day. No calorie budget for the day, just a way to keep track and inform eating decisions.
I've also (in the past) tried the photo apps with limited success. Barcode scanning has worked well in various apps.
Because itโs an HTML page that I type calories into and it adds them up. Itโs a throwaway nothing project. Claude did it almost instantly. Why would I waste my own time doing that? It was the right tool for the job.
I have a computer science degree and 17 years of software development experience.
How so?
To reassess eating habits I reinstalled my go to calorie tracking app, Calory. It has been so enshittified I couldnโt get to any functionally w/o multiple dark patterns triggering an in app purchase. So, I vibe coded the functionality I wanted in Claude Code in 10 minutes and threw it on a server. ๐
A little walk WIP. Do I add a shadow? Is the torso too wide.
Nine slight variations, but I'm really leaning toward `main-deer-right-16x16-9.png`.
I like the ...
- Bigger eyes (more expressive)
- "Deer-like" snout
- Bigger ears (cute)
- Snout divides the eyes (realistic)
- The single dark pixel to represent the hoof (hand)
I don't love ...
- Smaller antlers
Finally got around to adding the needed DNS record to change my handle here to `@twitty.dev`. It's a good handle, IMHO.
For anyone wondering, itโs on GamePass Premium.
I was searching for a photo of our dogs and Apple Photos included a screenshot of โthe dogโ from TLoU2. AHHHHHHHH!
Costco packaging getting out of control.
There are objectively better ways to package up cans of Pringles that isnโt a four foot spar of dehydrated potato flakes.
I sometimes still go to Google Reader thinking, "maybe it was all a dream". Nope, it's gone.
