American workers deserve a Labor Department focused on fighting for them, not one consumed by scandal.
Posts by Congresswoman Suzan DelBene
Labor Sec. Lori Chavez-DeRemer failed to protect workers across the country & in her own department. She rolled back worker protections, undermined labor unions, & created a hostile work environment.
Trump’s war in Iran means that Washingtonians are being forced to pay $1 more per gallon of gas.
The president’s own Energy Secretary said it may take a year for gas prices to go back to pre-war levels.
If you’re a business who is having trouble with this process or receiving your refund, I want to hear from you. Please reach out to my office to share your story: delbene.house.gov/shareyoursto...
This process doesn’t allow customers who ultimately paid the price for the tariffs to apply for a refund, only the importing business.
Here is the link to apply for a tariff refund: www.cbp.gov/document/gui...
Today, the government is starting to allow businesses to apply for refunds for Trump’s illegal tariffs that the Supreme Court struck down.
I will be closely monitoring to ensure that businesses of all sizes can access these funds, not just the largest corporations.
Met with the Pacific Coast Shellfish Growers to talk about protecting the environment & federal investments in research to support a vital WA industry.
Deeply saddened by the horrific shooting in Louisiana. As we wait to learn more from local officials, my thoughts are with the victims, their families, & the entire community of Shreveport during this heartbreaking time.
This puts even more families at risk of losing their health coverage on top of the 1 million Americans who have already been priced out of it.
1-in-7 people who signed up for an Affordable Care Act plan couldn’t pay their January bill. Premiums skyrocketed this year after Republicans let the enhanced premium tax credits expire.

UPDATE: Joanne finally received her procedure yesterday after waiting in pain for 6 weeks for no reason. It shouldn’t take a Member of Congress highlighting your case to get it approved.

Families are paying more for gas across the country, & the Trump administration does not care what this war is costing you. Instead, they’re focused on profits for oil companies.

Trump’s war in Iran is hurting Washingtonians. Across our community, gas now costs families over $5 per gallon.
Saddened to hear of the passing of my former colleague Eliot Engel. He was a dedicated public servant, strong defender of human rights abroad, & tireless advocate for the people of New York. My thoughts & prayers are with his family & community.
This is not going to lower your health care bills, rent, or gas prices.
The president isn’t focused on what really matters.
