Thoroughly enjoyed Caitlin Rozakis’ latest, ‘The Grimoire Grammar School Parent Teacher Association’.

A cosy fantasy that’s charming and funny, navigating the trials of parenting a whim-a-minute toddler — except this one has fur. And a prophecy.

A heartwarming read, and had me laughing aloud.

Red Rising by Pierce Brown may be my new actual ‘bloodydamn’ favourite read of this year so far… and you can bet your soul I’m about to binge the entire series.

‘The Sun Blessed Prince’ by Lindsey Byrd may be my favourite read this year so far, & is excellently narrated.

I laughed out loud and sniffle-cried at various points (love Leo). It’s a masterclass in the power of mystery and juxtaposition, with a fresh, engaging, & utterly captivating magic system.

Jed Greenleaf by @kieranlarwood.bsky.social has absolutely blown me away with this fabulous historical fantasy — odd friendships, found family, and a plot so perilous I couldn’t put it down.

Jed is the sort of powerful, kind-hearted hero I love reading about, and I cannot wait to see book two!

Definitely the Skandar series by A. F. Steadman! Would have fit perfectly on my shelves next to Skulduggery Pleasant and Percy Jackson!

If you haven’t played Split Fiction yet, you need to. Absolutely fantastic and full to the brim with imagination and creativity. Stunning visuals, and a plot to both tickle the funny bone and twist the heart!

I work for Scottish Book Trust and we’re running a survey for parents/teachers/kids book enthusiasts about how they find books for kids. I’d be enormously grateful if anyone can spare 5-10 mins to share their thoughts. #KidLitUK

Another twisting thriller from the queen of YA crime! Building upon the success the ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ series, Holly Jackson doesn’t disappoint! (I think I put the book down twice, and only because I had to!)

Absolute stunner of a book from Struan Murray that I couldn’t put down — perfect for anyone in the post-Skandar slump! 🐉

Now that I’ve finished Holly Black’s series (The Cruel Prince — it was AMAzing), I’m about to start The Raven Scholar.

This is probably my most anticipated read of the year. I learned about it in November at YALC, and have been excited for it since!

(And it’s signed!) ✨🤩✨
