They went 2-5-1 (0.313 pts %), dropping 11 points to lottery teams (incl. 0-3-0 vs. 25th place FLA in that span).

Even if you take the most conservative interpretation possible and just flip the late blown lead vs. FLA (+2 points), take MIN to OT (+1 point), & not blow the late lead vs. CBJ (+1 point), that puts the Red Wings in a playoff spot.

ASP turns the puck over behind the net and the Red Wings can't scramble to recover in time, Columbus goes up 1-0 early.

Putting Kane's penalty aside for a moment - need to state the obvious that Detroit shouldn't have been in that position to start. Another game of self-inflicted wounds, unravelling at the first sign of adversity, & putting themselves behind the 8-ball w/o margin for error. #LGRW

Wings head into the 2nd intermission down 2-0 to one of the worst home teams in the NHL, a team already eliminated from playoff contention that recently managed only 10 SOG vs. the severely depleted Senators.

Would be embarrassing if Detroit can't get a result here. #LGRW
