As I said - they are hiding behind spurious reasons to oppose things for local advantage. ‘They are not opposing it. They just don’t like any of the things needed to make it happen’ is spectacularly disingenuous

Fair enough. But don’t you accept that the reasons the Greens give for opposing things like this are the classic ones used for local campaigning advantage, rather than anything more noble? I’m a Lib Dem I’m used to seeing a party use this trick!
It’s exactly that. I also believe that Robin is a member of the Green Party
He does this several times a day on there. Picks an article, goes ‘yes, but it’s bollocks isn’t it…’ and then goes off on one. It’s so completely out of kilter with the rest of LinkedIn that it’s almost admirable

The winning goal was another 25-yard shot - again from Blackstones' central defender - coming from their second chance of the game. Gary Cooper, recently signed from Old Boys, had a good debut.

God. I worked the night shift here when I was a student. Every night I had to spend eight hours listening to a bloke whose only judgment on music was whether it was 'psychedelic': "What bands do you Like? Blur? Yeah, they're quite psychedelic. Wu Tang Clan? No, not psychadelic at all" etc.
I'm not sure it has replaced it? The DJ thing is just an extra thing they added a while back.
Apart from the ‘being a Nazi’ phase?
I am also old enough to have worked there when it was basically just the One Canada Square tower, and all the artists' impressions on the building sites of what it was going to look like seemed wildly implausible.
I loved both living and working in Canary Wharf. Know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I think that was my favourite place to live in London
The fact it’s basically taken a week to come up with this really does suggest they thought nobody would care.
Looking forward to this so much. My Phantoms was the best new fiction I’ve read in years.
Season 1 is also a total joy (with minimal Carr)
This is incredible
It’s got the turn of mouth right. From nose up I’d have had no chance. And I worked for him!
I fear this may just be me seeing him everywhere, but Clegg?
Yeah, this has to have been a very conscious choice right? Three nights is such a statement
I cannot see any way that Kanye West Wireless thing does not end up being canned. It is insane.
Come & See would be a barrel of laughs
Yeah the media approach was dreadful
They’ve been going for ages and if there’s any bias in their members it’d be Lib Dem / centre left. I don’t think they handled this well, but it’s not something more sinister bsky.app/profile/robe...
Very excited about this. When I first heard the idea I was irritated at how good it was
From Politico this morning. Because before the Lobby briefing was axed, these events were just made up of respectful policy questions on whatever the supposed topic was
I’d not seen it before and really enjoyed it overall, but goodness you could feel a gear shift in some of those modern sections. Parts felt like dry lectures mixed with some Alan Partridge
I've seen analysis that says losing voters to the right has a much bigger impact in terms of constituency losses than losing the same amount to the left. But I think that would now be overtaken by the sheer volume of people going to the left
Is there are similar piece of analysis that carries the counter-argument, ie what the numbers that underpin the current Labour strategy are?
Yes, but my question is more the timing than the principle (again, I know I'm probably just being a miserable git)
It looks it! But (and I know I’m being po-faced). It’s a bit of a weird look no?
Trying to work out the thought process of an MP deciding to take part in a Strictly Come Dancing event in Portcullis House today.
