Williams Team Principal James Vowels had this to say about the changes to the 2026 F1 regulations:
"These are sensible changes and the teams, FIA and Formula 1 have done good work over the past few weeks to agree them. F1 has seen some great racing so far this year..
acceleration mitigating start related risks and does not introduce a sporting advantage.
Visual warning system will be introduced, activating flashing lights (rear and lateral) on affected cars to alert drivers behind.
Race Starts: A “low power start detection” system has been developed, it identifies cars with low acceleration after clutch release, an automatic MGU-K deployment is triggered to ensure a minimum level of
Race: Maximum power available through Boost is capped at +150kW. MGU-K deployment is kept at 350kW in key acceleration zones, and will be capped at 250kW in other parts of the circuits.
Qualifying: Peak superclip power increased to 350 kW, previously being 250kW (also to be applied in race conditions). Maximum permitted recharge drops from 8MJ to 7MJ.

Spoke with Colton Herta and asked him if he looked at trying to make it work with doing his F2 races in Canada and then trying to get to Indy for the start of the 500:
"I had visions in my head of being able to do that, but I kind of always knew I wasn't going to be able to do it.....
News: Colton Herta is set to drive in four FP1 sessions with Cadillac F1 Team.
First FP1 session that Herta will take part in will be the SpanishGP the other three have yet to be announced.
Herta’s next race weekend will be the Formula 2 race in Miami.

McLaren carries on to say that the "Chief Racing Officer already exists within the team’s structure with overall leadership of the race team. These duties are currently managed by Andrea Stella in addition to his role as Team Principal."
NEWS: McLaren confirms that GianPiero Lambiase will join the team as Chief Racing Office and will report into Team Principal, Andrea Stella.
"The team look forward to welcoming GianPiero Lambiase when his existing contract ends, no later than 2028."
OFFICIAL: Red Bull Racing confirms that GianPiero Lambiase will leave the team in 2028 when his contract expires, which puts him at McLaren for 2029 if a one year gardening leave is observed.
Red Bull says that GP will continue on in his role as Head Of Racing and as Max Verstappen’s race engineer
For the first time in it's history F2 will race in North America. Round 2 takes place in Miami on May 1-3.
Then round 3 will happen at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve during the CanadianGP weekend May 22-24.
F2 will then return to Europe for Round 4 at the MonacoGP June 04-07

Stroll said that he had this idea to race here during F1 in Suzuka, he did briefly talk to Max Verstappen about GT racing, but the idea was hatched over dinner with teammate Roberto Merhi
