For almost ten years, I've wanted to publish a book in line with what I do in the Literature and History podcast. Now I'm doing it!

My first book, The Odyssey: An Illustrated Guide is coming out in June of 2026 with Simon and Schuster. I wrote it for all ages and backgrounds. More soon!

This conversation absolutely made my day. I've probably said "The Bible is an anthology of documents from different historical periods" a dozen times in the podcast (the phrase sounds neutral and respectful, which is what I intend). However, "weird bad PDF" is rather ingenious, @andreagrimes.com. 😄

I hope you like it! Some of Eliot's earlier work is a little saccharine but that one is tremendous!

Ooooh, thank you, Aven! Thanks for watching. He was family, but he also had a tremendously fun life and he passed away with all of the accomplishments and illustriousness that a canine can have. 😊

That's so awesome! What a way to learn a poem, too - just getting it in your head at the end of an exam! ☺️

You can actually read Hume - he was the product of a brief time in British empiricism when excellent writing was cool.
