60 years ago we lived on the 🇨🇦 Air base in Quebec. We are white, as was everyone else I met until the Gill family. The Mom was born in India, the Dad was 🇨🇦of Indian descent. My Mom was the only person to talk to Mrs Gill at the school and store for the longest time. Idk why folks are so mean.

I hear you. My brother posed/poses as his wife on Facebook to his daughters. They would message their Mom with stuff, sometimes about him and not in a good way, and he would answer as if he were her. Now that I know, I take everything from that account as if it were him. Same with email and texts.

My Dad & stepDad were in the 🇨🇦 air force, neither overseas. My brother was on a 🇨🇦 navy warship that went around the oceans but not in conflict. I never thanked them for their service, being family. I have to others though, and I'm wondering what one could say to show appreciation for joining up?
