NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK

Most libraries still use the Dewey Decimal System & Call Numbers.
Library patrons are able to use call numbers to find even sensitive-topic subject matter, without library staff help (see sample selection in photo below).

I would submit that a gerrymander by politicians saying fuck the voters and one by voters saying fuck the politicians are two wholly different animals

@cleveland.com ‘s AI use seems tame against this.

They were/are angling to get passenger service again. Breeze and Avelo seem like the only operating contenders.

‘Keep digging’: What happened in the days leading up to the Chronicle’s Eric Swalwell story The woman who answered a reporter’s call last month was hesitant, at first. She withheld the painful account she would later reveal. The next morning, she asked to keep talking.

🎁 The @sfchronicle.com details how it got the Swalwel story, how it worked to get the accuser to come forward, how it raced CNN... Really interesting account of how journalism actually works. Gift link: 🎁

The fact that every major police union endorsed Donald Trump is under appreciated in our political discourse.

You people never ask about this with repukes.

It wasn’t fake. Jason Johnson confirmed it was legit and it was Ross Rowland’s original effort. ASR is technically separate from the AFT foundation

That is effectively how this is turned out for the most part.

I think it was a combination of factors.

Well 2100 is still going to operate as 250 but it probably will only run on the CVSR this year if it runs at all. But if the AFT Foundation raised good money, that might put it over the finish line.

Nice shot!

I think the better thing here would be for them to get other airlines in a room and demand somebody merge them to provide a softer landing for their employees. That’s effectively what TWA’s fate was.

Yeah their flagship product that is now beating the F150 in sales is getting tariffed to hell. I’m sure they love giving up all that extra money to the Feds for no real reason.

Honda first on the list. Toyota has helped the republicans pretty horrifically over the last decade.

Nearly got caught up in a scam on Craigslist. Reported it to them. Hopefully it gets taken down.

I suppose a nice thing about operating the trains during the night is that the contractors can work freely during the day on this project.

I may have one for you soon then. Need to buy it first.
You were drunk the last time you reviewed it, if that’s a hint 😆

I’m gonna hijack this comment to ask a question: will they ever review updated generations of cars they’ve reviewed in the past?

I wish they’d try us out in CLE.

Within the industry the lingo most commonly used to denote a single train that breaks into two under the same brand name is a “section.” So this would be the Portland Section of the Empire Builder. Similarly in my neck of the woods there is the Boston Section of the Lake Shore Limited.

The AFT 250 "tour" with Reading 2100 got canceled?

2 days ago 20 6 2 1

As a Cleveland resident (for now) I am hopeful that whatever they raised is enough to put 2100 over the finish line this year.

I’d expect that they do some excursions on CVSR even though 765 is handling steam in the valley, officially. Not a lot of other places to run it, though.

On Day 50 of Trump's Iran war, the president finally obliterated something:

The right of any Republicans to call themselves "fiscal conseratives".

Hotel bookings are a good indicator too. They are not at levels so far that would be expected and FIFA released thousands of rooms that they determined recently were not necessary.

I suspect* but *don’t know that it will double head from Fort Wayne to Bellevue with 4014 this year if rumors about the latter’s route and timeline are true.
