Idea for a cover band
Guns XOR Roses

Picked this up, mostly because the date lined up quite well with when I was watching the show and I've devoured it over the last few days. It's incredible to take a peak behind the curtains and see what went into something like that, highly recommended if you're of a similar vintage
No, honestly, I really enjoy that sort of open look at what went into the finished game! Games aren't always as well served for that sort of thing compared to other media so it's a definite plus when you include things like this
I recently replayed Old Skies as it has a commentary mode and I love hearing people talk about the creative process. I can think of a few other indie games that do this (Gone Home and Gunpoint) but are there others I should be picking up? Also, any indie games you'd like to have one added?
Just seen a sign that reads "Bar Staff Wanted. Bring your CV or apply within" and I can't help but wonder how you're meant to give them your CV...
Losing contact with the Earth for 40 minutes sounds ideal
I also can't watch it without thinking about @xkcd.com 395, but that might just be a me thing

I'm so glad #Paradise has kept up the momentum in its second series. It's impressive how much it's had to change what it is without slipping in quality
Just had a terrible thought, which I'm sharing so we can all suffer together...
Can you scotch a crème egg?
(also very funny, but I couldn't make that work in the metaphor)
A poster for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) at the Bristol Old Vic
Sweet, with more packed into a small package than you'd expect. Truly the condensed milk of Shakespeare, in the best possible way.
Tesco Finest 4 Marbled Neapolitan Hot Cross Bun
Every year I think "Surely they've run out of new flavours of Hot Cross Buns"
Every year I am wrong...
Now, when heading the other way, an announcement to "Mind the gap between the train and the platform" has just played.
We are currently travelling full speed through the countryside.
"This is your train manager speaking. Unfortunately, we're not sure where the train driver is so we'll be waiting at this station while we try and find one"
Happy Monday, everyone!
Wonderful to revisit this, what with it being free this weekend. A truly magnificent production!
The National Rail website. There is a picture of a cat in a carrier that has the most concerned eyes I have ever on any feline
What is going on with the cat on the National Rail "Train Travel with Pets" page? What has it seen?
Okay, yeah, I see what all the fuss is about...
Right, let's see what all the fuss about Operation Mincemeat is about...
The front door of a barbershop, complete with price list. Haircuts start at $40
This might be a bit rich coming from me, but I reckon the scariest thing in the opening of Resident Evil Requiem is the price of a haircut...
Out into town to see Andy Zaltzman tonight. Cracking show and can't help but feel sorry for the person who has to pop out of the wings to fix a broken audio jack
A well-written book about (in my opinion) the greatest game ever made. Smashing to see it back out there for people to read who didn't get a chance last time. I'm due another playthrough soon so will be picking it up to see what's new.
HOT FUZZ scene. Pegg as a cop talking to some underage kids in a pub When’s your birthday? 22nd of February. What year? Every year.
Happy birthday to this young man, and really to us all
You had me at John Finnemore!
Just finished #Reanimal. Delightfully creepy, perfect for times like this where the nights are still long.
Just finished listening to this. The only 60s Irwin Allen I'd experienced before was Lost in Space and this certainly lives up to that. A wonderful cast, heartfelt stories and a fantastic pace. I have to agree with @twilightstreets.bsky.social in the BTS and say I'd love to hear more!
I've finally got round to submitting my new talk! Had a great time last year and really excited about what I've been working on for 2026.
There's still plenty of time to submit if you're thinking about doing it.

A large screen that says "Slapstick Festival: Heavenly Laughs: Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd Double Bill"
First show at @slapstickfest.bsky.social for me. Two great films and a wonderful intro by @robinince.bsky.social and Paul McGann
It's time folks! Hope to see a good number of you there at the best free conference in the world!!
