That was kind of early to be making that negative judgment. They’ll be covering it today. They better be.

Kid: “Hey, look. It’s a ride share with no driver!!”
He should try getting “reports” from his intelligence agencies, though why he’d pay any more attention to this particular report than any other incredibly troubling report about the effects of what he’s doing is an open question.
He thinks Trump is looking for democracy? He hates the stuff.
Good job on the story. This is big. I trust the reporting.
I know I’d be scared shitless if I saw the right turning out like that. In the past 18 months, I’ve taken part in 3 more protests than my entire life.
The fellers fade away or die more quickly. I’m gonna knock on wood.
In Athens, Ohio…
Sorry but I’m not accepting your application of collective guilt. I’ve been attacking Trump since that infamous escalator dropped this reeking bag of excrement in 2015, including in about 25 newspaper columns between 2016 and 2021. Like millions of other Americans, I’m a victim not a collaborator.
Might be AI, probably is. But I’ve seen humans do the same thing. I see it all the time.
The Panama Canal is considerably narrower than Hormuz, which is an understatement.
It’s a dumb sideshow, low-hanging fruit. If this is necessary to rile up people, geez, I just don’t know.
Any time I see a shared social media post or meme that uses the phrase “sent shockwaves through” whatever or wherever, I know it’s bullshit. This is bullshit.
President Eisenhower after the Soviets crushed the short-lived Hungarian revolution in 1956: “…I must make one thing clear: the United States doesn't now and never has advocated open rebellion by an undefended populace against force over which they could not possibly prevail…”
Also in 1956 when U.S.-funded Radio Free Europe hinted to Hungarian freedom-fighters that America would swoop in and save them from the Soviets, encouraging their hopeless revolt. Nope: The Soviets brutally crushed that effort in a couple days with the U.S. remaining on the sidelines.
I worked for smallish newspapers for 40-plus years, the final 34 as editor of an alt.weekly. The last 20 years of my career I had to work a second job to make ends meet (and I’m still working part-time in retirement). If I’m an elite, we’re in big trouble.
F-ing prick
Please clean up the punctuation in this post. I agree with the sentiment but it took me a while to grok that you weren’t grouping “liberals” with fuhrer Trump.
Middletown, Ohio is 3R’s Appalachia once-removed. (Reading, Writing, Rt 23 to Columbus)
The legal system in this country is already fundamentally monetized. If you have the money to hire the best lawyer, your odds of winning a civil or criminal case are better. Notwithstanding that basic but perhaps unavoidable flaw in the system, this provision is terrible.
Sorry but this is nonsense. Generalizing about “the media” is like generalizing about liquids. I’m well aware of the damage Trump and Republicans are doing to our democracy. How did I find out? Reading and watching “the media.”
My great great grandfather’s cousin, Confederate Gen. John B. Gordon, after the war served as ceremonial head of the newly formed KKK in Georgia. Called before Congress to defend its activities, he explained that the Georgia KKK was a peaceful “social club.”
Nice bird! (A red-shouldered hawk with the rarely frozen Hocking River in the background, Athens Oh)
Dang. Too late. I found my PW and quit. But good points, especially monitoring the crazies.
I did flee from X. Lots of pressure to do the same with Facebook but that might be a bridge too far.
I found it and quit. Now I’ve got to replace this crappy head shot.
There’s so many to corral. I’m still getting the lay of the land here.
I still plan to exit X, but that will require me to find my password. I hate looking for passwords.
