Dealing with clearing out the house in preparation for the engineer has put a damper on promoting my books. Almost forgot to share that many of my books are discounted and my short #horror stories are FREE until Monday. #romancelandia #horrorbooks www.smashwords.com/profile/view...

The other day I had a crazy urge to have someone 3D print some swag pieces Kent & I had planned. Now a friend is making them for only the filament.
The urge was apparently a sign from the fates. I just got an invite to an AWESOME and PERFECT event for my #horror works.
I will announce it soon!

Any dude acting as Geena Davidson's love interest automatically gets hotter. It's part of her magic.

A woman's hand signing the name Brooklyn Ann Butler as the author signature and Francois Vailllancourt's signature is below as artist signature. Above the signatures is an illustration of tools and car parts forming a skull. Below is text reading: "This special signed edition is limited to 600 copies."

Signing the signature sheets for a limited edition of one of my horror works under the Brooklyn Ann Butler pen name.
I am SO EXCITED about this one! @francois-art.bsky.social did the art! Kent LOVED his work and we collected it together.

I am cloning my almost full SSD C drive to a much bigger one in preparation for major laptop surgery. Already seeing why Kent procrastinated on this. Wish me luck. Also seeing that I will need to upgrade my D drive soon too.

My list is odd because I have an Associate in Automotive Technology, AND an English Degree, but enough credits applied to the English that it took 1 year to earn and pre-med bio was the only science credit I could get that semester.
Idaho advisors told you to get science instead of arts degrees.

A little late, but the world sucks, so this is a fun trend to continue. Also, I'm old and had to look up course titles.

Tell me 5 classes you took in college:
Survey of Art: Included 1 class with Rachel Dolezal as sub teacher!
Pre-Med Biology
Engine Repair
Interdisciplinary writing
Transmissions

Paperbacks of Brooklyn Ann's novels, His Final Girl, an 80s summer camp slasher romance and To Wed a Warrior, a sword and sorcery romantasy.

Paperbacks of Brooklyn Ann's novels, His Final Girl, an 80s summer camp slasher romance and To Wed a Warrior, a sword and sorcery romantasy.

Posted about getting more copies in of my 80s summer camp slasher romance and my sword and sorcery romantasy that's a shameless homage to Sansa Stark and Sandor Clegane and realized this perfectly represents the duality of my romance writing. And we haven't mentioned my horror without a romance arc.

Yeah, but you actually converse with people, so you're good. I too repost when someone says it better and avoid other topics if I'm not educated enough about them and risk coming off as an ass.

I always wonder about people whose only posts are reposts. I'm not talking about bot accounts, but ones I know are real people. Like, do they have any of their own thoughts? Or a desire to converse with anyone? I know I have little room to talk because I haven't been on here much lately. But still.

Valid. But tastes are very subjective and I got the impression that plenty of people legit enjoyed their films. But my tastes often differ from the majority. (Like, I will defend the brilliance of Renfield until my last breath).

I love seeing the filmmakers in the @fangoria.bsky.social town halls and liked Hellbender, but didn't like Where the Devil Roams--though there was still A LOT to respect in that one.
Lots of the Fango subscribers were raving about this newest film, so it's high on my must-watch list.

That reminds me, I hope I didn't miss the next @romancingthevote.com auction. I have a lot of items to donate to the cause.

Who keeps getting Jared Leto work? I feel like there's a real fucked-up rabbit hole of a conspiracy in finding that truth.

Watching doc about resilience that reaffirms many changes I made last few years to my mental outlook (I read a LOT of brain books). Brains are hallucination engines. If the story is the world is shit, everything is fucked, brain reframes every interaction this way. It impacts behavior; shuts us down

comic illustration. Top panel: A man driving a blue Bugatti on a bridge overlooking the ocean where a yacht is in view. He says, "I wish I could afford a yacht."

It me. Though my poor Fit needs a ton of work to get her back to maximum badassery. I'm going to be using a chunk of the Go Fund Me donations to get her back to reliable.

Thank you for sharing. One of our cats' stomatitis came back so now I have to get her to the vet on top of all this misery.

I managed to pull Kent's guitar quilt from the wreckage. It only has 2 big tears and 2 holes from the tree. I painted each square and Grandma sewed it. Pretty sure my horror quilt is ok. Though yesterday, when getting prescription cat food we saw that the room caved in further into Micah's room.

So it's a good thing I have two horror projects on my plate. Three, if one counts the unabridged version of Her Haunted Heart. I seriously cannot wait to show off that cover!

I also wonder if my books will get hornier, given that I'll be a celibate widow for probably the rest of my life. Right now, with the pain so fresh, the thought of sex makes me physically recoil.

I don't know how this loss is going to affect my writing style. When I lost my mom, I went light and fluffy. Maybe I'll do that again, or maybe I'll go darker.

I lost the love of my life & dream home in the same day and I'm not ok Brooklyn Ann published a post on Ko-fi

I'd sent my newsletter out last night, letting my subscribers know what happened and finally got around to scheduling a talk with my therapist.

The first part is about the tragedy, but then I cover what's coming for books in 2026 and what's in store for my writing.

A lot of people have been telling me that Micah and I must be meant to do something great because we shouldn't have survived the disaster, and while I somewhat agree in the case of Micah because he turned out to be such a good man, and maybe a tiny bit for me because I honestly believe that The Graveyard Girls is an important book, I can't completely embrace the concept because Kent made so many people's lives better every day of his existence.
Not to mention all the other genuinely good people in the world whose lives were snuffed out too soon.

My website is down and I don't know what to do because Kent was my webhost and IT Guy. I used to be able to shout "IT GUY!" from my office and he'd fix it and I'd hug and kiss him. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Reread an old favorite book. Then, depending on your brain's mood, either try a new, or haven't kept up with in awhile author, or read a fave's author's latest.
