They often receive no research support and few opportunities to contribute to the broader academic life of their universities. Their growing presence on campuses represents the quiet 'gigification' of university teaching." - Rob Kristofferson, OCUFA President

Stop the gigification of teaching on our campuses in Ontario! Fairness for Contract Faculty means not only healthier working conditions for contract faculty, but better conditions for learning for our students, too! #Fairness4CF

Canada’s universities and colleges are too reliant on precarious employment.

Students rely on their teachers, and they deserve fair working conditions. Our country’s future relies on colleges and universities. They should be well-funded and strong. Visit education2025.ca. @caut.bsky.social

Politicians don’t get to dictate what is taught and researched at Canadian colleges and universities.

Research and institutional funding shouldn’t come with political strings attached.

MUALA has a new logo! We’ve stepped away from our Employer’s branding, and have adopted this woodcut from McMaster’s rare book collection. It's giving: "In solidarity."

Medical libraries are essential. So why are we imposing cuts on them? - Healthy Debate Medical libraries and their staff are essential for supporting frontline workers. But they're currently under threat.

Libraries and librarians are essential for equitable access to health information. Cuts to library services put Canada’s evidence-based health care system at risk.

We've officially submitted our intent to bargain to the Employer, and will begin collective bargaining May 2nd. We're eager to table a fair agreement that addresses the inequities faced by McMaster librarians compared to our peers in Ontario and U15. For more details: muala.ca/wp/
