@kcdragon.bsky.social has been dropping Ruby knowledge on me for over a decade. This will be great if you're able to make it!

When I was suiting up in the parking lot, it was about 2 F/ -16 C and dumping so decided to to break out all the layers.
Stayed dry and toasty (minus the beard) all day.
So far Copper Mountain and Winter Park have been my go to spots.
Do it! That's literally what happened to me last season. Ended up having a great time and got a pass for this season.

We finally got some snow in Colorado so decided to take my first powder day.
Really excited for this one. Wale was one of the first people I connected with in Philly after finishing my bootcamp back in 2014. It's been great re-connecting at conferences the past few years.
I met Wale many years ago early in my career when I was back in Philly. I should probably count as 0.5 to that total.
Killer list. Looks like we hit up some of the same tours over the years.
I'm also a fan of desktops. When it looked like they were going to stop updating the Mac mini, I got a Studio with an M2 Max and 64 GB of RAM and still feels stupid fast.
But it can always be faster...
It's so rad being able to wear deathcore band tees on client visits π
π― getting to hear positive feedback instead of just bug reports is a huge boost.

Last week, I released a huge update for Spot Squid that lets shops pre-book time slots for events.
They completely sold out the event in a few hours! Was awesome having a chance to stop by the event and see everything humming along in person.
"It was incredible. So smooth. Everyone loved it..." π€
Do I know any founders who write their own content and would participate in a UX interview for Knowatoa's new onboarding for $$?
Had a great time hanging out with @jasonswett.bsky.social earlier this year. Thanks for having me, Jason!

Got to see Taking Back Sunday and Coheed and Cambria and Red Rocks this past weekend and the best way to describe it is it felt like a high school reunion, but one that I'd actually want to go to.
Fred re-joined TBS and both bands went harder than any other show I've been to.
Canal in Amsterdam with boats and houses on the water
So glad my trip to Amsterdam was so much easier than last time. Ready to kick things off at #RailsWorld
Just made it to Amsterdam!
Couldn't agree more. Every album has progressed their sound but it always sounds like a Deftones album.
Is Deftones classic rock for people around 40 now?π
Quick pit stop in Iceland on the way to Amsterdam for #RailsWorld
That looks like it's close to my old neighborhood in Denver. That stretch of Larimer by the ballpark has my favorite bars in the city.
Man's face superimposed on Cowboy Curtis from Pee Wee Herman tipping his hat.
Merged a few hotfixes before review this morning and was trying to make a Cowboy Coding joke when sending an update.
I attempted to put my face on Cowboy Curtis but ended up with this abomination and I can't stop laughing at it.
My biggest gripe is I haven't seen anyone refer to this as a Phurry yet.
Rocky Mountain Ruby early bird tickets are up at rockymtnruby.dev. Join us in October for a great local conference!
Was amazing meeting Edy and some of the other @codeminer42.bsky.social crew at the final #Railsconf
Hearing that sharing my experience speaking at RailsConf helped them be a speaker this year blew my mind.
This post came off the top rope on to my feels

"We didnβt sponsor RailsConf to try to sell Judoscale or win customers..."
And yet this will both sell @judoscale.com and win them customers! They have an AWESOME product and they are present in the community for the sheer love of it. Be more like Judoscale.

My perfect record of never having an on time departure for a conference when flying American remains intact but finally in Philly
@davidhill.dev was just thinking it'd be great to organize an Ode to Railsconf group photo next week
