How does it feel to be significantly more experienced than those actually negotiating for the US?
I'm afraid I'm going to go strong on this one: anyone who genuinely cares about female safety and is willing to act accordingly has stopped listening to spurs podcasts, so it doesn't matter what you say.
I prefer that to the fact that the previous 2 generations just copied our haircuts from the 90s.
Clarification: more moderate Iranian government
I feel that this game is a lot harder for non Americans, since usually 2 or more of them are in America
No, it's pretty much the same :-(
This is much easier than supporting Spurs!
"Trump's adept at changing rhetoric" is a strange way off saying "Liar"

I've just seen that Darlington is their next game. I was born and grew up about 10 miles from Darlo. It's all coming together....
At that point in time, the team I supported wasn't led by sexual violence apologists, so there wasn't such an obvious reason to look elsewhere. Did I miss much?
Fixed that for you Spurs...
Living in the East Midlands I'm leaning towards Burton Albion, but I go with my family to Scarborough every year, and it's a special place for me because of that, so....
I'm not sure what it means in practice for me to stop supporting this club, but the safety of my daughter is my top priority, and I believe that cheering for Spurs, now in a tiny way, puts that at greater risk.
I agree, and it's irrational for people to do that, I was just clumsily trying to express that it's not just 1 person whose international reputation will suffer because of his actions.
1) Trump causes a problem for the rest of the world.
If this isn't enough of a reason for the rest of the world to hate Trump (and by extension, for some, America)
2) Trump criticises the rest of the world for not solving the problem he caused.
My problem is that even when De Zerbi leaves, the people who saw no problem in appointing him will remain. The stain is on the club and those that run it. I'm not sure what it will take before I feel able to support Spurs again.
This is how Emacs vs Vim arguments start
Nice to meet you. I'm Case 00148373
The fact that people are reading Greg's post and are relying with points unrelated to Mason Greenwood is why the club feel that they can overlook this when appointing him.
I am furious and appalled that Spurs might be hiring Roberto De Zerbi. He’s not only a combustible egomaniac who will bring yet more chaos to the club, but, more importantly, he openly defended Mason Greenwood — what the hell are the Spurs boardroom thinking?!
If you feel strongly about this, tell them *now* before it is too late.
Hopefully for most people, Spurs or otherwise, there's isn't a "before you get to De Zerbi's off field stuff'. The off-field 'stuff' should be the the start and end of anyone's thoughts on him
After Thomas Partey I can't bear to live through another "innocent until proven guilty, because it suits my sporting choices".
I gave my Newcastle supporting father and brother grief for continue to by season tickets after the Saudi takeover and received the usual "well... what can 1 fan do...". It seems like this will be my chance to show them that it is possible to place your values above sports.
To the Board of Directors and Leadership of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, I am writing to you as a dedicated supporter to express my emphatic opposition to the potential appointment of Roberto De Zerbi as our Head Coach. While his footballing talent is recognised, recent reports and the unified response from the Spurs community indicate that this appointment would be a grave mistake for the culture and identity of our club. My concerns, shared by a growing number of fans and official supporters’ groups, are based on the following: 1. A Contradiction of Club Values Football does not exist in a vacuum, and the standards a club sets shape who feels welcome and what behaviour is deemed acceptable. As emphasised by groups like the Proud Lilywhites, the manager sets the tone every day through what they say and what they defend. Appointing an individual who has publicly defended Mason Greenwood, framing the situation in a way that downplays the seriousness of violence against women, directly contradicts Tottenham’s stated commitments to inclusion, safety, and accountability. 2. Impact on the Fan Base This is not a matter that can be separated from football. Hiring a manager who showed such vigorous support for an individual toxic to world football sends a devastating message to survivors of sexual assault and rape within our own fan base. It suggests the club prioritises on-pitch results over its relationship with its supporters. We have already seen the depth of fan outrage during the potential appointment of Gennaro Gattuso; the opposition to De Zerbi is even more profound because it touches on the real pain of our community. 3. Volatility and Professional Conduct On a professional level, De Zerbi is a highly divisive and confrontational figure. His caustic and high-strung nature has led to public fallouts at previous clubs and high-profile sideline confrontations, such as the incident with Cristian Stellini. We have seen before that highly combustible mana…
Here's my email to the club on De Zerbi, should any of you want to crib it. Like all of these things, I've spotted loads I would change after sending it
