There is only one person who can get Bluesky working again.

One of my fav things to do is go to our local zoo or botanic gardens and count how many languages I hear. Bonus points if I can guess which one it is. My favorites are the families who bring picnic lunches of amazing smelling Indian food. I will never understand people who are so afraid of different
In my experience if you see a Nepalese person outside and you wave “Hello” chances are you will end up with a plate in your hand. Other cultures are so much more generous when it comes to sharing their holiday meals. Of course if you are actually a giraffe you might just get lettuce.
I hate when fantasy films I made a long time ago begin to come true in real life.
One of the ideas the founders tossed around was a panel of three presidents. I used to think that would ridiculous but now I see the merit of it.
I feel like we all need to read the Declaration of Independence and just start quoting it verbatim at congress etc.
I can’t get over the juxtaposition of the astronauts telling us how we are all one on the same planet and how we should love each other and then there’s our president. The whiplash is real.
3/3 This is from the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson, he of dubious morality when it came to sleeping with his enslaved half sister in law, still managed to give us a blueprint for how to handle times when leaders went down this path. Perhaps we should heed his words? #historyrepeating
2/3 “they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”
“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which” 1/3
Schmidt’s line is perfect. I can hear the derision in “you cave person”.
Today has been such a nice day. Watching humans do things together, no one person trying to take credit, lovely moments of tribute, and awe inspiring visuals.
Love it! I’m learning so much listening to them!
Was not expecting the astronauts to make me cry but here we are #integrity #artemisII
That’s why my parents didn’t do Santa. My best friend when I was “believing in Santa age) was the child of an accountant and always got insane presents. I was the child of parents who didn’t finish college and my presents compared to hers would have made me think Santa liked her better.
I haven’t had braces since 2000 and I still have a deep visceral hatred of them.
1 in 6 trans people have been incarcerated at some point, including half of Black trans people.
Today is Transgender Day of Visibility.
Far too many trans people are targeted by the carceral system and caught in its vicious conditions.
This is going to be so fun when my kids get to this stage. I have 5 more years before I too have a 15 year old who will have all the answers.
Last One Laughing UK is healing me in the best way. These people are blessedly ridiculous.
Life with a 4 year old boy: “mama, I burped up some pizza but it’s okay, I ate it again.” 😂🤢
Pope Leo on Palm Sunday: “This is our God: Jesus, King of Peace, who rejects war, whom no one can use to justify war. He does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, but rejects them, saying: ‘Even though you make many prayers, I will not listen: your hands are full of blood’ (Is 1:15).”
It. Is. In. The. Fourteenth. Amendment.
It. Is. A. Right.
Sorry, not $120, $113. But shoot, by the time you factor in parking, it's going to be almost $150 and that's before food or drinks.
A picture showing available seats in a baseball stadium. Next to the seats is a image showing the price for tickets in that section. Prices $90 plus fees to sit in the outfield on the top row of the highest section.
This is ridiculous. My ticket to the 2010 ALCS was $60. 60! Who is paying $120 to sit in the outfield on the top row of the top section?! Do better #TexasRangesBaseball. I love baseball as much as I do because it used to be an affordable family outing. Not anymore.
Okay but also no one deserves mercy under the Christian belief system. That’s the whole point of salvation. It’s a gift we can’t earn and don’t deserve.
It’s a pretty wild time to be alive right now. I’ve lived long enough to have seen the right leaning Christians try to cancel Harry Potter because it was going to allegedly lead kids to witchcraft. And now left leaning people are canceling it because of the legitimate trans issue.
"This is a Christian militant organization," Bowers told Klansmen in a March 1, 1964, lecture obtained by highway patrol investigators. "We have become His (God's) finite instruments with which, we earnestly pray, He will choose to save Christian Civilization." Atter news came that civil rights activists planned to work in the state during the coming summer, the White Knights characterized the work as an invasion and recruited members from all of Mississippi's 82 counties. The White Knights' charter told Klansmen they had "the Sacred Responsibility for preserving Christian Civilization, and with the task of effectively and intelligently Destroying any and all agents or agencies of Satan, whensoever they may detect any such Demons in Human Flesh at their Evil and Treasonous Work."
This wording seems awfully familiar… 2/2
