Most hobbyist programmers and contributors (even the ones who explicitly mark their creation as public domain) will never be paid by big tech stealing their code.

And if we build our ecosystems on top of code slop, these will eventually fail and fall apart. I don't know you, but I don't trust AI.

If you use AI as a learning tool, is okay, but fact-checking is mandatory. This, however, will create a dependency, that may lead you to fall for it and start asking it to write code for you.

If you want a boilerplate, look for it online. If it doesn't exist, maybe take your time making one. __

Will Github pay developers for using their code as a training data set? No. It is far more profitable for them to sell their user's code, under the guise of it being regurgitated by an AI to clients willing to pay to reduce coding time _

And Service, particularly the maintenance/training of personnel for using your tool or software. Which is neat. __

This is not bad per se, but will mostly not benefit the main contributors IMO, unless support to the project is given by the one profiting. __

Distribution of commercial versions based on open-source projects is quite hypocrite unless the fork has something privileged to offer and the setting abide it. _
