The final episode of Star Trek: Picard “The Last Generation” debuted on this day in 2023. Here’s my poster for the episode. #StarTrek #StarTrekPicard
The raider first appeared in the Season 7 STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION episode "Preemptive Strike" before being reposed as the Val Jean for STAR TREK: VOYAGER's pilot episode. The 2-foot long filming model was constructed by Gregory Jein, based on designs by Jim Martin. According to VFX Producer David Stipes, the relatively large filming miniature (compared to the 5-foot USS Voyager) made it difficult to depict as a small vessel: "The Maquis ship is one-fifth the size of Voyager, and that is nearly two feet long. So I needed to be in North Hollywood to shoot it!"

In order to make up for last night's screenshot (from #StarTrekTNG's "The Mind's Eye") of Troi and her console, I offer this shot from #StarTrekTNG's "Suddenly Human", where Troi absolutely owns the tactical console. 👌
OTD, Star Trek: The Next Generation's "Genesis," written by Brannon Braga and artfully directed by Gates McFadden. An underrated gem! Unique high-concept story, terrific performances from the whole cast & guest Dwight Schultz. Should've won the Emmy for makeup. (It was nominated.)

#StarfleetAcademy S1 is the 1st season in the history of #StarTrek to average more than an hour in length across every episode. The avg. ep length was 62 minutes (longest 75 mins, "Kids These Days" & shortest 55 min, "Ko'zeine"). Best thing about this is how episodes still felt compact & well-paced.
Star Trek Deep Space Nine scene. A PADD is shown up close held by a pair of hands. (Kind of looks like an old palm pilot and if you're not old this will mean nothing to you) The beautiful LCARS user interface is displaying the text, "GO AWAY."
If you need some cheering up, watch the first few moments of #StarfleetAcademy's "300th Night"⬅️ and look for the Ferengi cadet performing Nog's Ferengi dance from #StarTrekDS9's "You Are Cordially Invited"➡️. This was completely improvised by the late great Aron Eisenberg - never forgotten!

Worf. In “The Last Outpost.” His Season 1 short, cropped hair is a mess.

An image of the comic book "Tales of the Frontier" on a computer screen in the episode "Come, Let's Away" from #StarfleetAcademy. (And that unrivaled element for anyone wondering. In my opinion, these are the strongest opening six episodes for any series in the history of Star Trek. Top to bottom.) Feel free to argue with me, but TOS had Mudd's Women, I won't even mention TNG's plethora of choices beneath these six, DS9 "A Man Alone," VGR "Time and Again" and "The Cloud," and ENT "Unexpected." In the new era DSC's "Butcher" is a tough, joyless watch, STX "Runaway" is super thin, PIC's "Maps and Legends" is a filler episode stretched to make the openers a three-parter; one of SNW's least popular episodes is "Lift Us Where Suffering Cannot Reach," and Prodigy's pairing of "Dreamcatcher" and "Terror Firma" are not highly rated. Similarily, Lower Decks' "Temporal Edict" is certainly not better than top tier LDS. Obviously your mileage may vary, but I'm prepared to argue that this six episodes are the best six-episode run for any Trek series ever at the start of Season 1.
My #StarfleetAcademy ranks for the first six amazing episodes of S1. (Keep in mind that I think "Vox in Excelso" is exceptional.) #SFA is doing something unrivaled in Trek history.

Was the Sutherland viewscreen even a full size build or a miniature like this Cardassian war room view screen?
Shoot one shot of Sutherland viewscreen model with an out of focus "Data" and chair in front, followed by another on its own.
Then use these shots as masks for the motion graphics.
