Currently, Laz is able to make 18 map miles a day. That will put him in San Francisco on May 30th.
The question is whether he can maintain.
Note, Laz is walking with: a blocked femoral artery, a stent in a carotid, Graves Disease, and a herniated disk...

Two weeks later he entered a 1,300-mile race. And won.

In 1987, Al Howie ran 360 miles nonstop around a 400-meter track. 1,422 laps. A record. He was monitored by the University of Victoria.

The Backyard Ultra is the invention of an out-of-work accountant in Tennessee. At 57, the ultra veteran and Barkley creator, couldn't even get hired at Fleet Feet. So, he created a new race format and held it in his backyard.
