Water after water, hour after hour. Spilling, pooling, churning, descending.
Singing its endless song.

Maybe I'll put my 5yr old in charge of watering this year. 🤪
Besides losing my ever lovin' mind at the hands of my 5yr old, I'm getting so excited about starting the garden! 🥰✨
Yes, that means I'm not doing anything I should be doing right now, and instead am daydreaming + planning the greenhouse, raised beds, etc.
I blame PBS. He's obsessed with a physics water game that explores how water interacts with different objects.
Science has become my nemesis in the hands of my 5yr old.
Everything is wet. Pee, water, milk, juice, drool ... it's just all wet. All the time.
I stepped on something that was gushy wet, and looked down. It was a towel. Towels that dry things.
*quiet sob*
I love kids probably more than I have ever loved anything or anyone else in this life. This one though? An agent of chaos. A full 3ft. unstoppable menace.
I think he's winning.
If he floods the sinks or gets into anything else I stg I'm going to tell my therapist to sedate me.
My 5yo is waging a highly successful psychological torture campaign against me. I am now triggered AF when I hear running water in the kitchen and/or bathroom.
I'm not doing this again. Six+ is enough. Even after birthing four, and adopting, and fostering, etc. I wanted more. I'm done.

The thing with Gen X and music is that yes we had grunge but we also had rock and funk and hip hop and rap and pop and house and trance and lounge and reggae and soul and Gregorian chants ffs.

Burial place of St Cedd incorporating Saxon stone from the earlier church, and complete with nave, apse and side aisles.
Time peels away as you descend into this special ancient place!

Then, make a beeline to read those books, if you can. Find out for yourself why those people want that book banned. Find out for yourself if they can be trusted to know what’s best for you.” ~ Jeff Zentner

Today is one of the best days of my life, because I was reminded past relationship trauma from my first marriage can't hurt me now. 🛡️😜

A leaf fluttered in through the window this morning,
as if supported by the rays of the sun, a bird settled on the fire escape, joy in the task of coffee, joy accompanied me as I walked.

I hope that we all get through this week in one piece. Contemplating pink whirls and swirls might help us take a deep breath.
