I raised a dyslexic child. Technology was the key to succeeding at all in school. This seems to favour a certain kind of child above others.

Almost all the work done by local Green Parties is by hard working volunteers. Bundling 12,000 leaflets in one day was just phenomenal!

THE POPE RESPONDS TO TRUMP: "Blessed are the peacemakers… I don't think the message of the gospel is meant to be abused in the way some are doing it."

The guy Christian nationalists are using to impose a theocracy on 🇺🇸 is beefing with the carrier of the actual message of Jesus

Well they could buy weapons and capacity from Ukraine. The UK and Germany now have Ukrainian run factories in their countries producing fibre optic drones.

The United States did not start peace negotiations with Iran because diplomacy prevailed. It did so because it had no choice. It is running out of weapons.

A rainforest in Costa Rica

A rainforest in Costa Rica

In 1983, 75% of Costa Rica's forests were gone. Today it's a biodiversity haven - half the country is covered in trees.

They abolished their army in 1948 and spent the money on schools, healthcare and forests.

That bet changed everything for the better.

If Costa Rica can do it, anyone can.

My first thought was: that is Liberty leading the people by Eugene Delacroix. The flag, the man holding his knees, the arm up. Definitely staged.

Everyday those B52s fly over head and my heart sinks. Everyday I am reminded we are enabling the bombing of children and civilians by allowing US planes to use our airbases.
There is a choice, like Spain has made, not to support an illegal war. The government could make that choice too.

A new Austen drama made me wonder: is the fate of bookish young women really so different today? | Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett The Other Bennett Sister reminded me of my own self-consciousness – and worry that girls still have to play down their cleverness, says Guardian columnist Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett

I have to admit, this drama brought tears to my eyes. It brought back all the misery of being a clever, plain girl in a world not designed for me. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...
