I designed this guy 4 years ago and said I'd keep him if I managed to draw him more often. I drew him like twice since then...

Gluing together two of the same layers, you can use the glue weights to add depth (red closer, green farther in this case)
Once that's done all it takes to make the animation is to move one of the glued layers.
