Whenever I hear someone say their org is flat, I ask, "Oh, so who's the CEO?" then they tell me and I say, "Cool, it's not a flat org."
Oh interesting. I've seen a lot of folks offer to loan decks to new folks, but didn't know that printing was a thing!
And yeah definitely not planning to become competitive in any way! Just tryin' to make friends and find some community in L.A. :)
n00b question: what is proxy friendly?
lol yeah, I haven't been into TCGs since I was a kid playing Decipher's Star Wars CCG (my parents wouldn't let me play Magic because it was called Magic, and it was the 80s so that was evil, but obviously The Force isn't).
I grabbed a couple Star Wars Unlimited and Lorcana starter decks and played a couple nights last week. Floating more toward Lorcana atm which is not the cheapest, but sites like TCGPlayer make it easy to just buy the single cards you need to build a deck for cheaper than buying boosters.
Haven't dabbled since I was a kid playing Decipher's Star Wars CCG. The Internet has made getting into this stuff infinitely better and, honestly, more cost effective.
At least it's not Magic. π Looked up prices for boosters this morning and holy smokes.
Started going to a local game store and am getting back into TCGs.

Itβs fab. Upgraded from an old hand-me-down Ooni wood oven and itβs night and day.
Pizza day. π
Man I hope it's not never. :(
the speedrunning community was as toxic and as much of a boys club (if not more) as many others not too long ago, and the transition to it being a more queer-positive and inclusive event wasn't inevitable. GDQ's shift has been really meaningful and it's a lesson for what a lot of other spaces can be
Not gonna lie, I saw the thumbnail and thought this was a climbing video.

lol I was describing sprite sheets and background positioning to someone the other day and I could see their brain exploding.
I have a conference talk brewing in my heart titled "Uphill in the snow both ways," where I show all the weird hacks and manual work that went into creating the web when I was just starting out.
One of the great joys I've discovered in the last two years is running without tracking!
An ad on LinkedIn that says: "LinkedIn is better on the new Windows app. Never miss a reaction or comment," with a link to download the app.

I still haven't gotten Snakebite to work for me, but now with the Silent nerfs I must.
This is for the other two people who follow me and also play Slay the Spire.
Slay the Spire 2 card named Transfigure, with description text: Add "Replay" to a card in your Hand. It costs an extra energy.
Slay the Spire 2 card named Banshee's Cry+, with description text: Deal 39 damage to ALL enemies. Costs two energy less for each Ethereal card played this combat.
Realized just now, on the final boss of this Slay the Spire 2 run, that Transfigure+ can be used infinite times on the same card, and uh... yes. It was very good.
Iβm using a combo of Navidrome on my NAS and Arpeggi on iOS.
lol it's so much work! And then also gotta convince four people that it'd be fun and they should do it. π
I've started to get the bug again to run a D&D campaign. Someone please stop me.
