Baking set to opera. Found this weirdly satisfying.

Chemicals that were used on purpose? Or residue in natural elements?

Ah, 😁
If I had gotten to the men, you might have missed the part where her cows got stuck in the mud and people helped her get them lose?
Then after that she made sure their cows never got the cow plauge. I spoke a bit about why people had these belifs at the end as well.

Right? Time pieces were used surprisingly late, I did a lot of research on them to write my latest book. When they came around though and became more popular they were the coolest tech among the ones who could afford them. So it makes sense that there was lure surrounding time actually.

Thank you! I hadn't heard of him.

Me too. It's so specific and I wonder when it first started and if it was added after clocks and watches became a thing.
I didn't know that midday was a ghostly time in Britain!

You are so welcome Elizabeth! I'm very glad you enjoyed it.
Let me know what you missed and I can try to fill you in.

Fantastic early morning for me yesterday. Thank you very much for having me.
I blame Thor for BlueSky being down, I bet he was teasing Rå. It was ThorsDay after all 😍

A little like the Norns at Yggrasils roots.

Love that! Keepers of time, too.
Is there a special reason for the different times?

Even today, certain forests carry a presence that feels older than language. A stillness that suggests something is watching, waiting, or simply existing beyond human understanding. #FolkloreThursday

Yes, older than language. I love how you put that.

In a forest landscape--a tree, a lake, and a pile of cut trees are in the background--a man in a hat, striped sleeves, and an apron, holds an ax while he speaks with a woman in a long dress, with a white apron, kerchief, and headscarf. She holds her hands behind her back to disguise her cow's tail - she is a huldre or troll-woman.

#FolkloreThursday The skogsrå (Swedish) or hulder (Norwegian) is a seductive supernatural woman of the forest. She looks beautiful, but has a hollowed-out back and a cow's tail. If a man follows her, he will be taken into the mountain and lost forever, but if he hears church bells he will be saved.

Indeed she is. She's one of my characters in my book The Lure of Water and Wood 😍

#FolkloreThursday Some said Rå was actually a tree.
In my book The Lure of Water and Wood, she sometimes takes on the spirit and look of an old tree to appear older.

Rå's home was the forest. She cared for it. The word rå means care. In some contexts it can also mean rule.

Yggdrasil, the World Tree.
1, 17th century, unknown
2, Lorenz Frølich 1885|
3, Norns Amalia Schoppe 1882

The three Norns sat by the well of wisdom by Yggdrasil's roots weaving fate into existence, drawing runes into her roots.

It's a little offensive to those other intelligent life forms to be compared to Trump though.

1/2 The skogsrå (The Forest Rå) tricked men into having sex with them for weeks and weeks. She was gorgeous but her long hair hid a frightening secret, a back that was just a tree trunk with a large bottomless black hole.
Read about her in my novel The Lure of Water and Wood.
