Our average last freeze date in #Columbus is 10 days away. While a freeze is unlikely in the next couple of weeks, we're not necessarily out of the woods just yet. I checked on some of our final freeze numbers: www.10tv.com/article/weat...

Yeah, there are a handful of basic NBM fields available if you set up the LDM Basic to pull it in. This is a vibe-coded application that generates the files 😁
Bwahahaha I've successfully created a way to get NBM probability data into Max 😈
Cold again tonight in central Ohio... #OHwx
those poor robins, they're toast if they cross the county line
Northern Ohio isn't in a freeze warning, even though they'll be just as cold as areas with a freeze warning. But there's a reason! Spring hasn't progressed enough there for plants to be susceptible to frost/freeze, but it has in central and southern Ohio.
Another cold one Tuesday morning... areas in purple have the best chance of getting a hard freeze (28° or colder).
While I don't want to make any promises... it sure seems that way. Longer-range guidance over the next couple of weeks doesn't show any big cool intrusions. By then, we're quickly running out of time for them to happen. 🥳
Radar looks a lot worse this morning than it actually is. So far, none of the areas this has passed have reported measurable rain, so this is mainly just sprinkles or a very light shower. Best chance will be north of 70 this morning. #OHwx
Glad I clouded up the forecast for today... with this amount of cool air aloft, it's awfully hard to get much sun. #OHwx
Yes, it's a lot cooler today... but this isn't as chilly as it *could* be for Easter! Check out 1970, when an inch of snow fell. 😬
I personally don't understand the appeal. For being a house of waffles, their waffles are pretty "meh," IMO.

Most of Ohio is in a level 2/5 risk of severe storms later Saturday. Gusty winds are the main hazard we're watching. #OHwx
A bit of a summer feel the next few days in #Columbus as we push record highs. The next couple nights will have record warm lows, too. #OHwx
Welp this is one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
Absolutely breathtaking view of the Artemis II launch.

🌡️ From a near-record high to almost freezing...
Thursday night's cold front meant business! We went from 79° — one degree shy of tying the record for March 26 — down to the mid-30s Friday morning. At least we have sunshine again!
I'm guessing you are a happy camper
These are the biggest drops just in March.
Biggest temperature drops within 24 hours in Columbus... today-tomorrow will appear on this list with a ~50° drop in progress. #OHwx
Today's high in #Columbus is not only a record for the date, but it's the warmest March temperature on record. Previous record was 85° on March 21 and 22, 2012. #OHwx
TIL that I've always had my grill grates upside-down.

Yay, #meteorites! This is NASA’s map for the March 17 Ohio #meteor fall. The yellow line is the approximate center line of the strewn field. Hunters have reported finding space rocks! Read more about the Ohio meteorites at: buff.ly/du1R0pJ

Map of the lower 48 United States showing 0.25° GFS run from 18z on 20 March 2026. The variable is the 500 hPa geopotential height percentile rank considering ERA5. There is a record-breaking ridge across the Western U.S.
Honestly, this historic heat dome across the West is really hard to put into words for me. Temperatures over 110°F (43°C) in March, shattering all-time monthly records on multiple consecutive days, and not just by a little.
➡️ I can confirm this is human-caused climate change.
