We watch those news every day. Scrolling past the headlines of death and violence, we see people’s rights being stripped away in healthcare defunding, detention centers, and unlawful prosecution before watching a cat video, realizing it’s just AI. This is dystopian. When did we become so numb.

People all over the world suffer from the consequences of climate change, while those least affected destroy the planet for a few bucks more on their piles of more than enough everything. The gap between rich and poor is not only an insurmountable gulf but also the cause of injustice and oppression.

Palestinians are still not free. Iranians risk and lose their lives in protests. Ukrainians suffer Russian destruction. Afghan women are not permitted to leave the house. Venezuelans, Syrians, North Koreans, Sudanese, the list seems endless.

We watch Europe shifting to the right, and the German government illegally targeting immigrants to distract from erasing diversity and fueling lobbyism, all while adding to the deficit and breaking campaign promises one by one.

Why do all our efforts lie in demonizing those who did not win the goddamn birth lottery?
We watch the US descending into fascism and authoritarianism, targeting citizens and noncitizens without any checks and balances.

I want to focus on social injustice, neglected education systems, and climate protection. Why do we not talk about the inherent dangers of climate change? Why does no one care about our healthcare system falling apart before our eyes?

I see a German government so far away from the reality of its people that it defunds women, queer, poor, and immigrant support systems. I see the media devouring cherry-picked incidents and failing to criticize right extremism, while every day, a woman is killed for being a woman in my country.

I’m a white cis woman in a first-world country, so I’m still privileged (even though I'm queer and disabled).
But I see my friends’ rights being stripped away. I see natural catastrophe after catastrophe, while everyone is too busy being concerned with immigration and who can deport the most people.

Right extremist AfD ranks highest in polls, the US kills its own citizens, Israel bombs its neighbors with our tax money, sprinkled with deaths from extreme weather conditions. All within 10 posts each morning.

The world is a dumpster fire. Being online is exhausting. Every day feels worse than the last. When you think this is the line they won’t cross, they do it until it feels like it doesn’t matter anymore. 🧵

BPD is rather difficult to diagnose because it’s so complex. Bipolar disorder and ADHD are “easier” if that makes sense. Like ADHD can be diagnosed in one testing while a suspected BPD usually needs an extensive long-term observation before a valid diagnosis can be made
