Thanks! These were honestly pretty complicated..several passes of different bitmapped layers to the lines and colors, halftoning, inverted noise that I pulled from print scan lines, and some hand painted grunge erased from the flattened final. If I have time I might throw together a tutorial

I got to contribute some art for this! Incredible to be alongside so many talented artists and so much amazing writing. No prizes for guessing which class I got to illustrate here

A woman with short red hair stands in front of a towering creature among mounds of twisting tubes and pipes. They are in combat, the creature swinging its many limbs and tentacles at the woman who swings a blade upon a long rope in wide arcs, leaving behind slash-shaped trails, which repel weapons in sparks, and sever tentacles in bloody spray. The creature is like that of a saintly statue underlain with biomechanical parasitism.

In combat. A duel in the saprophyte hatchery, once a burial moon for the saints of the See, long past.
