I think the stigma issue comes down to semantics.

On person-first language, is there any evidence that it even reduces stigma? I see the person-first language as an arbitrary fad in academia to identify people who are not on "the team".

If stigma definitionally means increasing harm, then I see your point. I'm just trying to remind advocates that negative social reinforcement, maybe making something "unfashionable", is an important tool that can replace coercion.

An evolving legal landscape for marijuana and firearms Two recent federal court decisions signal a fundamental shift in how courts evaluate federal restrictions on firearm ownership by marijuana users.

New from me for @reason.org:

Lower courts are rejecting the federal ban on gun ownership for marijuana users. As these challenges continue, I expect SCOTUS will repeal 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(3). reason.org/commentary/a...

How DOGE Sent Shockwaves Through DC: Trump’s First 100 Days The Department of Government Efficiency reports $160 billion in savings amid legal challenges and other opposition.

Advocates for socialized medicine often tout Medicare's low administration costs, but that's exactly why it's riddled with fraud. As I explained to @nnworcester.bsky.social for @epochtimes.bsky.social, the program actually needs more staff to audit transactions. www.theepochtimes.com/us/how-doge-...
