Buffalo people: are there any news stories of police misconduct seared into your brain that occurred sometime between approximately 2000 and 2010? (For the purposes of a research project, I'm looking for stuff that was high profile and in the news.)

My first post -- the occasion is a piece I coauthored with Prof. Wadie Said, which we hope will have some impact on the thinking of university administrators and those in a position to put pressure on them. We're grateful to Dissent for publishing the piece.
