Artemis II launch from earth. Wide clouds of gray and blue smoke follow the trail of the rocketship. The tower of smoke gets hotter and hotter as it goes up going from cold grays to warmer browns to burning shades of yellow and orange as it twists and turns in arcs in the sky as the Artemis II disappears into the dark starry sky.

A digital illustration of Aigis and Makoto from Persona 3, meant to be a reverse of an official work. In this, Aigis stares off into the distance with a sorrowful expression, arm raised above her as smoke flows from her fingertips. She is standing in front of a door, cracked in such a way that it resembles a broken mirror. Makoto lies in the background as if laying in a casket, with forget-me-nots (flowers) resting on top of him. His eyes are closed, implying that he has already passed. Other small details include two butterflies surrounding Aigis, and chains that are tethered to Makoto.

The original artwork that my rendition is based off of. In this, Makoto is the one with his arm raised high, with smoke flowing out of his gun. Behind him is a casket with its interior appearing similarly cracked in nature. Aigis is much larger here in the background, staring off into the unknown.

i’ve literally watched this like 30 times since last night and it only keeps getting more funny

Akira sets a careful, hesitant hand on the banister, and then shakes himself out of it. He doesn’t have time for this. There’s only one person he might find up there, and they aren’t going to defeat themself. Akira climbs the steps, successfully avoiding each one that creaks. He steps on one he knows for a fact to be one of the creakiest, just to check—and yup, there’s that familiar whine. Akechi’s accuracy is getting creepy. Then Akira looks up, and he takes that back. Not creepy. Uncanny. Because standing at the top of those steps, looking back at him, is his own face, with his own features, and his own street clothes. The boy wearing his face reaches up and plays with his curls. A smirk plays at his lips. Akira crests the staircase. He and his mirror shove their hands in their pockets at precisely the same moment. It may as well have been a mirror, if not for his own Phantom Thief outfit. This kid is wearing jeans and a t-shirt, one of his discreet outfits. And those glasses, of course. not even in third sem. they all believe he will return to jail once this is over and he actively excludes himself, shutting down any possibility of them reaching out preemptively. so it's wrong to say they aren't interested, that they hate him, or will never forgive him. none of that is true.

what akechi's done to them is something he cannot erase and will always paint their relationship. but it doesn't preclude a relationship! they all express that they regret how it all ended and wish it could have gone another way! none of them get the chance to become his friend,

but they aren't using a word that has the connotations of "forgiveness" in english and i think it's wrong to project those connotations onto their feelings about him. it would be better to say something like "i haven't forgotten that he killed my mom" or "what he did by killing my father hurt me"

but they aren't even saying they won't forgive him! none of them ever actually say that! what they're saying is they won't stand by his actions. they think what he did is wrong. when they're talking about their own personal losses due to his actions, there is a sense of anger at what he's done,

of course, even if they said they wouldn't forgive him, that doesn't necessarily mean they're going to hate him forever. (they textually do not hate him, haru is glad when she finds out he's alive, and all of them state they sympathize with him and/or could see themselves becoming just like him)

people need to stop using quotes from the phantom thieves about how they "won't forgive" akechi as evidence they can never be his friends. while i don't speak japanese, i looked up the times they say that in the script and they're either using this phrase or variants of it 1/6

Akechi's angry Prince Crow sprite declaring, "You're just some criminal trash with a dick well on the lower end of average! It looks like a toothpick next to mine! I utterly eclipsed you at the bathhouse!"

I love and support everyone who gives Akechi a massive hog, but I am personally convinced we would have 100% heard about it during his crashout if he thought it was another aspect of his attic trash superiority
