i need to try to interact even less with drama on arcanetwt because spreading toxicity isn't gonna help in any way, but god if it wasn't funny watching *some* accounts get clocked today over their endless complaints and negativity

so i'm on *that* thread over this post and essentially got groupped along with other people as antiblack, pro cops and a bunch of other problematic things. all i can say is, i'm none of those, and as far as i'm concerned, i haven't said anything that could make one think i am.

Hopefully Arcane and future Runeterra shows help with making headway in changing this attitude, and that it can set a new standard and expectation for animated shows to be taken more seriously. Especially if it got nominated for a bigger award (ie Emmy)

As someone looking to do animation at university, it’s sad to see how the medium is looked down upon by many people, and even ignored simply because it is animated.

There’s unfortunately a large amount of people who refuse to even watch a show simply because it is animated (my father included, walked out the room every time I had Arcane on) even if it had a great story and is highly rated. Many people see it as animation = kids show…

I would genuinely love for people in general begin to see the value that animated shows have. As much as animation and live action both need artists and a huge amount of people behind them, animation to the level Arcane/Fortiche did, simply should be heads and shoulders above
