Did you want them to run 10 candidates between 3 parties
Honestly Colleen might be
Not sure how to say this nicely, so: Alberta’s in a fucking death cult. If the entirety of your province’s politics, even those of the so-called left wing party, can be reduced to cheerleading for the oil fields then we’ve got a real problem.

I guess boycotting Harry Potter feels pretty trivial to me, because I'm an adult. if someone told me I shouldn't eat Gerber's baby food, I'd be like, that is no problem. I'm way ahead of you
When this haircut shows up in your arrakis it means spice prices about to go up
After watching The Pitt I feel like that one lady who came in with her son at the end man why is this show such a downer
This is a really good point. Profits are hidden because the developer could basically break even but that's after the investor is assured their cut/profit. It is the nature of the beast
PS: hilarious name/pic. That twist got me good.
Strongly agree!
Sure, but the question of how much the old and the new housing costs is fundamental. And also of course "how do we lower costs"
Out of all the things he did or didn't do that one was probably the most betraying and frustrating
I guess this is the issue too. The parties want to be distinct from each other, many critiques of them is they are too similar to their opposition, perhaps they need to be further apart than give the impression of "Liberal Lite" or whatever
I'd strongly be in support of limiting candidates, especially in key ridings. I don't know if that would count as cross-support or just some kind of coalition
Of course, eliminating FPTP would also make a huge difference. But that doesn't seem to be happening.
^ this is the real answer but a lot of certain ideological people refuse to accept this, they say that surely developers will play ball if we give them even less oversight
Also lots of people see towers and stuff get built, and then the rent doesn't go down, and I know the answer in theory is "build even more towers" but it's easier said than done and doesn't help people's concerns now vs in a few years.
Not all housing is equal. I'm tired of people pretending it is. New supply is often too small, doesn't serve the needs of people (1 bedroom apts for families or townhomes for singles), and of course the issue of landlords and speculators. There's nuance and balance.
I work in affordable housing on the public side. People on my side of things often conflate "increased supply" with "total deregulation and public acquiescence to real estate developers." That's partially because those are usually the proposals, but they don't have to be.
This is actually how peoples last names were determined way back in the day lol
lol hell yeah, mad respect to him for saying no and differentiating himself
But people don't work with each other/cross endorse in those races either. Nobody is working with their Liberal opponent or whatever to avoid vote splitting. There's little benefit to cross endorsements in a leadership race.
Truly a lose-lose situation lol
Nobody has stronger negative opinions about Avi Lewis than people who are not in the NDP, have never voted NDP, and will never ever vote NDP
It's an app that shows you when the next bus is coming! Except instead of showing you the next bus, it makes up buses that aren't there, does not show you the buses that actually are coming, and/or tells you completely wrong times. And now some features are paywalled! Go to Hell!
Starting a "I hate the green and white transit app" club
Very amused at his question at the end because the answer is "yes, absolutely"
Jenna from 30 Rock bit
Just saw a police dog and two handlers ("Police Dog Services") at Commercial/Broadway! 👀
Don't think I've ever seen a police dog on transit before. #SmellsLikeFIFA
