Friends, when I sought the opportunity to represent you in the NC House, I promised to advocate fiercely for our vision and to help lift our candidates in tough races. Over the last 4 months I've worked hard to begin fulfilling that promise, and I'm excited to announce my campaign kick-off. [1/2]

This morning, I voted no on the House budget. While it slows the damage, it doesn’t undo 15 years of cuts that left NC 48th in school funding, 50th in health costs, and billions behind on basics. We need a wholly different direction. #ncpol

The county’s proposed budget is millions of dollars short where it needs to be to fund our schools. On Tuesday we take our budget fight to the county commission! We have to tell these decision makers that Wake’s schools need Wake’s help.

Victory for democracy in NC! Jefferson Griffin has conceded. Justice Allison Riggs holds her seat on the NC Supreme Court! Every vote mattered. Huge thanks to North Carolina Democrats and volunteers who stood up for fair elections! 💙

Jeff Jackson is on a hot streak — 4 for 4 in court against Trump’s administration.
They came for North Carolina’s rights, and he sent them packing. Every. Single. Time.
When the people are under fire, Democrats fight back. 💪

Congrats to our newly-elected Executive Council, and we wish you the best of luck! Many thanks to our fantastic outgoing Council, for your dedication and love for Wake Dems. 💙

Yesterday was disappointing, as Republicans passed HB636, which is a process to ban books in public schools. Everyone agrees we shouldn't have obscene books in school libraries, but librarians already handle that. Instead, this bill will cause political book removals, lawsuits, and wasted $. #ncpol
This will spread fear among school leadership unnecessarily. There are already processes in place for parents to express concern about a book. This is unnecessary legislation. Use link to get contact info for every house rep on K12 Ed com & call/email to express concern www.ncleg.gov/Committees/C...
NEW: North Carolina Democratic Party asks a federal court to stop the state Board of Elections from proceeding with a ballot curing process that could potentially disenfranchise 5k military/overseas voters in the state Supreme Court race.
Grateful to @ross.house.gov for joining us at our first fundraiser for 2026. The fight for the soul of America isn't over - and Senate District 18 is going to hold the line.
HB807 filed today has NC teacher raises. funding for children w/ disabilities, free school meals for all & money to replace computers given to students. Also freezes Opportunity Scholarship program. Democratic sponsored bill so DOA. www.ncleg.gov/BillLookUp/2... #nced #ncpol #ncga

‘Twas a fantastic weekend with the NCDP #Project100 Piedmont East Division canvassing HAVA challenged voters on the Griffin List in NC Senate 13 and NC HD-37 in Fuquay-Varina, NC with a bodacious band of warriors for justice.🥁🚪🥾⚖️ #ncpol #sowake
Certain segments of the population, either due to race, ethnicity, class and gender, weren't included when the Articles of Confederation, Declaration of Independence and United States Constitution were being drafted and adopted, so how is teaching that indoctrination?

Please share these personal stories about federal workers when you see them. These are our friends, our families, our neighbors… just everyday Americans like you and me.
Grateful to have had the opportunity to meet and volunteer for such an incredible leader like Joe John. Phil Rubin has big shoes to fill but I have no doubt he’ll do it well and make the district proud #ncpol
