In case you missed the Daily News weighing in against legislating subway staffing:
"It doesn’t appear to us that legislative leaders have really set forward a good explanation for wanting to micromanage the subway, apart from .. the political power of the TWU"
This will reduce particulate emissions by the equivalent of taking 6,000 trucks per day off the road. There's a risk that things like this fly under the radar, but it's a huge win that was funded by congestion pricing. We need to expand and build on this! www.thecity.nyc/2026/04/01/c...
If you thought those platforms were packed already, just wait. But QueensLink tackles this directly. More trains = Less crowding.

“The governor should finally reorient the state’s transportation policy around reducing vehicle miles traveled and giving all New Yorkers better, safer, more affordable options to get around and get ahead,” writes @ridersalliance.org's @betsyplum.bsky.social: citylimits.org/opinion-hoch...
Behind the preserved historical facades, the ultra-rich are buying up adjacent townhomes in the West Village and Upper East Side, combining them into a megamansion. It's part of a broader trend of small multifamily buildings being turned into single-family homes. www.bloomberg.com/graphics/202...
I am now off the clock, so I am officially, formally, incredibly thrilled that 'A Better Billion' is now in the world. And it's absolutely surreal to help with something that ends up with a feature in The New York Times. -- transitcosts.com/a-better-bil...
Is it still open for the bus?

Apples, oranges and bananas are sold in abundance in supermarkets throughout the country. But some say the most American fruit is one you’ll likely never see in the produce department, and it’s one you’ve probably never heard of. https://to.pbs.org/4o9epsl

Graphic reading Zohran Voted Yes on Props 2,3,4, & 5! Vote by 9pm! Paid for by Yes on Affordable Housing disclosure.
@zohrankmamdani.bsky.social has already proven that nothing changes unless we change it.
Today, by joining Zohran and voting YES on Proposals 2 through 5, New Yorkers are wielding the power of our votes to change the course of our city’s future. @opennewyork.org
Zoning reform measures have divided tenant advocates in New York. Yet loosening the city’s anti-housing regime is essential if we ever want to build social housing at scale.
Walkable cities are good for both planet and human health! As this article from @berkie1.bsky.social explains, daily walks are associated with lower health risks. Building walkable neighborhoods is a public health measure that also reduces transport emissions! This is local level power! #cities 🚶

New TV ad starts airing tonight.
We are done settling for less.
“As much as I love this city, there’s a myth about it that has persisted for too long. It’s the lie that life has to be hard in New York. It has to be an ordeal. That only the rich or the lucky get to live a good life here.
I don’t believe that for a minute.”
Good news, Brooklyn: Flatbush is getting bus lanes and pedestrian islands to speed up service!
These improvements can't come soon enough: "Buses move just 4 mph along the most congested stretch of Flatbush Avenue during peak periods."

We’ve got 30 days left to deliver a city we can afford — and the pathway to victory runs right through The Bronx.
A new design-build strategy, plus removing old signals fully, is credited for cutting costs in half. Take that, Sean Duffy.
This is an outrageous policy change. Also, if you’re gonna do this then you gotta do it for drivers, too right? Given those are obviously far far more dangerous vehicles.
