View rare archive footage of children working in two primary schools in the 1985, 40 years ago. The film records the integration of art work in the progressive primary curriculum, making books. The variety of different skills and quality of the work displayed is breath-taking.
In my last video I examined DFES’s 2025 Framework for writing. One of my observations was that the teaching of handwriting did not take into account children’s physical development at reception age. Mark-making and emergent writing was downplayed. So here is one I did earlier!
