For state, VA used to have Free Fillable Forms but canceled it under fucking Youngkin. So I still have to do those on paper and mail it in.

I use the Free Fillable Forms on the IRS website (make too much for Free File). Totally online and you don't need tax software. It's a bit tedious filling out the W-2s and any relevant 1099s, but worth it not to give money to a tax prep software company. But our taxes are pretty straightforward.

Help. A former coworker texted asking to use me as a reference. Literally one of the worst coworkers I've ever had. I in no way want to say yes. Should I ignore it or is there a tactful way of saying no? Something along the lines of "I don't feel comfortable doing that for (insert reason)".

We saw Hoppers Friday night. There's a scene where the entire audience very loudly gasped. All of the air and sound just sucked out of the room. I cannot remember ever being in a theater when that happened. It's the kind of collective reaction that makes seeing a movie in a theater worth it.

The weather here in Richmond has been crazy today. Woke up to humid, mid 70s. By 1pm it was snowing heavily. Now it's sunny again. Reminds me of Blacksburg.

The Owl House was such a good show. It sucked that it got canceled but it was nice that they got enough notice that they were able to write a satisfying conclusion to end on.
