I want to finish up the gamma World 7th Edition campaign i am running... then I need to decide what to run next. Pirate Borg is right up there. But so is One Foot In The Grave, Pigeons 11, Weird Heroes of Public Access and possibly some Ghostbusters from 1984. Maybe even some Gurps Fantasy.

This afternoon's read. Down Among the Dead for Pirate Borg. I am really intrigued by all of the Borg games. I think Mork Borg is too dark for my Saturday game group. But Pirate Borg may be pretty fun. Who doesn't want to play a scallywag drinking grog, shooting muskets and swinging from ropes?
Mail call. Cryptworld adventures in print from Drivethrurpg. These are taken from Eerie comics turned into horror modules for Cryptworld / Chill 1st Edition
Mail Call! This beauty came in the mail today along with the Gamemaster's Guide and some adventures. I do like OSRIC. It is a lot of fun to play this way instead of the modern heroic D&D. I like that also... but I really love the old school vibe.
Today's read. Digging some old stuff out. I have almost all of the FFE republications except the one with Adventures 1-13. I loved Traveller back in the early 1980's and had several of the books. Space opera is a lot of fun. It takes the right game group to make it work. No barbarian smash dudes
Today's read. I love e the Call of Cthuhlu RPG. I love setting books for that game. This is a very nice POD from Drivethru RPG. Some good reading here.
This afternoon's read. I really like the action table in Chill 1st Edition / Cryptworld, Rotworld, Time Master. The game is pretty alright also.
I have a copy of HOL and the expansion (I think it is Buttery Goodness?) Somewhere
Today's read. The Big Squirm for Troika! RPG by Melsonian Arts Council. I really like the Troika material. It is so different than the typical RPG tropes. Super weird, evocative artwork. There is no way that the players have meta knowledge to know what to do. Highly recommend looking at Troika.
Mail call. I had the original Ace of Aces way back in the early 1980's and enjoyed playing it. A lot. Somewhere over the last 40 or so years, I lost the brown leatherette bound books. I backed this kickstarter. Looking forward to some game play on this!
Today's read. I have had a lot of Troll Lord Games stuff for Castles and Crusades and Amazing Adventures for over 10 years. I haven't gotten it to the table yet. I played Amazing Adventures at Gamestorm last weekend and decided it was time to bring it to the table. Liking what I am reading
Picked this up at my FLGS today. A d6 mi iatures game. Looks very silly. Simpler than Space Gits. Some fun for a palate cleanser for sure.
Also gives me something to do with all those Bretonian miniature sprues I have laying around.
There is a lot of angst about D&D 4th Edition. I was pretty "meh" on it. It didn't float my boat. I played it but couldn't get too excited. The spin off of Gamma World is stupidly fun and a great RPG. Totally embraced gonzo weird and worked really well for my taste. Same basic system. So fun.
Some post work - pre making dinner reading. A nice POD of a classic module. Thinking of running it using Troll Lord Games Amazing Adventures as a system. Love GW material. Don't love the GW system. I do really like the Troll Lords Seige Engine system.
I have wanted to replace my Ghostbusgers RPG stuff for a long time. I got these at Gamestorm today. Very nice shape. I won't comment on the price.
Gamestorm vendor hall swag. Houses and Humans dice bag and a dice roller pad
Rocky is officially at Gamestorm
Rocky is ready for Gamestorm in Portland Oregon. We have some good games scheduled to play. Troika, d&d, Amazing Adventures and Rebel Scum this weekend.
Question. How do you make three little shelter mutts super happy.
Answer. Go for a nice walk in the beautiful March afternoon after work.
Works every time
Some Sunday afternoon King of Tokyo while early dinner is cooking.
Today's read. Some classic Vall of Cthuhlu Dark Ages. I am going to run this for the Saturday day game group. Thinking of running it where the party is all Rus or Vikings. If Rus... I may require that the players only communicate like the Swedish Chef from the Muppets.
Happy Friday the 13th everyone!!!
Mail call today. The Chaosium Elfquest reprint arrived. The 2-inch thick box goes nicely side by side with my original box 2nd printing from the early 1980's. Lots of memories here.
I played this before I developed my hatred of elves. Thank you Lord of the Rings movies by Peter Jackson.
This morning's read. WHPA RPG. I love the aesthetic of this game. I am trying to wrap my mind around running it. Simple dice resolution system, essentially the UHF movie meets the X-Files and a lot of weird. The book is packed with great ideas for any weird game. 10 out of 10
Playing a little solo game Death Test for The Fantasy Trip. I backed all of the crowdfunding reprints of this. I love TFT. I had the old plastic bag Melee and Wizard games back in the very early 1980's. This is a great game that requires a lot of thought to the combat.
I finally picked up the last expansion for Imperial Assault I was missing. I need to paint it up before playing. I think a house rule will be that anyone playing Ko-Tun Feralo will need to play him like Dan Akroyd as Beldar Conehead
Today's read on a Friday off work. I have 3 of the 4 books in this series. A neat RPG that Fantasy Flight got the distribution / publishing rights to about 10 years ago. You play yourself and start the game at a table as the world disaster happens and horror unfolds in your town. Neat idea
Today's read. The original box sets from Green Ronin. Dragon Age. I have all three boxes and the extra book they published. This has been sitting patiently on my bookshelf for over 15 years for me to get around to it. I do love a 3d6 RPG. I love many non d20 RPG's. I like the spread better
Found this earlier today in my big stack o games I haven't played in decades. It seems pertinent today for some reason.
Spent today playing some board games and some Jackbox with friends. Tonight's read... Age of Vikings by Chaosium. I do love Chaosium material.
