Hi folks! Do I have any friends around London who don’t have big xmas day plans & might want to hang?

I’m planning on xmas dinner at my local - you’d be welcome to come along, or just go for a little walk. Can bring crackers & wear a silly jumper if desired X

If you’re also having a quiet pride, all my love. You being alive and yourself is so much more than enough.

I’ve been planning to go to pride for a few months. But a lot has happened this week, publicly, legally, emotionally. My body has worked a lot more than expected. My pride today is a quiet pride. A restful pride. A celebration of my body, my privacy, my safety, my joys.

And you could probably make a nice 3+ person sized bed with like some side tray zones for toys and stuff but a) that ≠ poly and b) this hella ain’t it

If you want to chat more about these kinds of instances and the best way to respond as activists, let me know. X

Yeah, I know. Even more ridiculous to have guards there.

They were approached by someone with a professional camera, so I don’t know if that footage ended up/will end up somewhere.

I don’t use the station often. But if it becomes a regular thing, I’d definitely encourage people to record it if & as they feel comfortable and safe doing so.

Yep - I get that. I don’t know the protocols or frequency around this. I witnessed it briefly yesterday and wanted to give people an alternative toilet to use. Unfortunately, I wasn’t in a position to record it without jeopardising the safety of the people I was with.

On the whole, immigrants are the most community-oriented, caring, empathetic group of people I’ve met wherever I’ve lived. Lots of ways to attack us/them, but “strangers” is one of the more bogus ones.

Be that part of the community where people want to come and feel safe and welcome.

A cool thing theatres could do is make it clear that trans people are welcome to come in and use their toilets even if they’re not there for a show/to buy something at the bar.

A set of restrooms at Victoria train station with a large traditional female figure sign on one side and male figure sign on the other side. Two guards with cameras and vests stand in front of the entrance to the toilets. One is looking at a document while the document owner stands off to the side - framed out of the photo.

Guards gendering people before entry at Victoria station today. Just across the road (near Hamilton), Market Halls has accessible toilets you can use without purchasing anything.

I’ve yet to have something that makes me feel at home as a trans man and with how I was brought up, what I’m seen as and all the bits in between and bits I disagree with in that way, inc from trans folk. What a world to create.

In the midst of all of this bs, I think the second series of The Change has been massively under-covered. The answer to how do you handle all the feminisims, masculinity struggles, real violence, fake nonsense, and do it all with trans ppl and a laugh to boot.

The ruling is horrendous and we will fight and one day it will be history. And all the days until that day are some injustice that I hope as many of us as possible live through with moments of joy.

Hey, fellow disabled folk! I work at an escape room. In the last year, I’ve learned how fucking inaccessible most of them are. Ours are actually pretty accessible, and I’m pushing to keep improving

Are you/do you know anyone who might be interested in giving feedback or spreading the word?

Not that we in the library wish to encourage profanity, but if you want to get rid of these AI-search summaries (which are often absolute nonsense), just swear in your search terms.

It really works.

Stop advocating for trans people by referring to us as canaries in the coal mine.

The whole point of the canary is that it's an acceptable sacrifice to protect the people who actually matter.

We are not a *warning sign*. We are real people. Our lives and rights matter in and of themselves.
