I’ve been planning to go to pride for a few months. But a lot has happened this week, publicly, legally, emotionally. My body has worked a lot more than expected. My pride today is a quiet pride. A restful pride. A celebration of my body, my privacy, my safety, my joys.

I don’t use the station often. But if it becomes a regular thing, I’d definitely encourage people to record it if & as they feel comfortable and safe doing so.
Yep - I get that. I don’t know the protocols or frequency around this. I witnessed it briefly yesterday and wanted to give people an alternative toilet to use. Unfortunately, I wasn’t in a position to record it without jeopardising the safety of the people I was with.
On the whole, immigrants are the most community-oriented, caring, empathetic group of people I’ve met wherever I’ve lived. Lots of ways to attack us/them, but “strangers” is one of the more bogus ones.
Be that part of the community where people want to come and feel safe and welcome.
A cool thing theatres could do is make it clear that trans people are welcome to come in and use their toilets even if they’re not there for a show/to buy something at the bar.

I’ve yet to have something that makes me feel at home as a trans man and with how I was brought up, what I’m seen as and all the bits in between and bits I disagree with in that way, inc from trans folk. What a world to create.
In the midst of all of this bs, I think the second series of The Change has been massively under-covered. The answer to how do you handle all the feminisims, masculinity struggles, real violence, fake nonsense, and do it all with trans ppl and a laugh to boot.

The ruling is horrendous and we will fight and one day it will be history. And all the days until that day are some injustice that I hope as many of us as possible live through with moments of joy.
