Minto talked about how she was interesting in Legends ZA and how she really like the design of Gwynn who is also my favorite character in ZA so I had a lot of fun drawing her in Gwynns outfit! I'm not so good at drawing pokemon though so I feel bad that Gengar who is Mint's favorite pokemon didn't turn out so well... This is the first fanart in a while that I've done that I feel pretty happy about though! I always felt like I had been letting her down with my art so this piece means a lot to me. I tried a new technique or well, a technique I've heard about but never tried myself and that it using the lasso tool for making shadows! I think it really turned out nicely! In terms of composition, I was really influenced by Saitou Naoki sensei's work on Dragalia Lost! I always thought the art for that game was so beautiful. My favorite character in Dragalia was actually the maid girl too before I had even met Minto lol. The green flame like stuff I was inspired from Dragalia art as I said but the technique I took from Kawaii Sensei!The ball in the background was a pokeball but you cant really tell anymore since I added the pokemon lol The ground is something Ive used before with a metal gear art in the past but I had a though of "What if I did it like a figure base" lol I think it looks kinda nice but what do you think? Closing remarks: I think Minto is super cute in Gwynns outfit and I had a lot of fun drawing her in it even if I struggles with the pokemon part and am quite proud of this artwork.
