US citizens paid $166 Billion in illegal tariffs and now it’s being refunded back to corporations instead of us.

That means investing in healthcare, strengthening education systems, and creating real opportunities for independence.

So not only did thousands of people lose their jobs during the DOGE cuts, we now have the Fed Chair saying that there is zero net job creation in the private sector over the past year.

What happened to the public to private sector pipeline that we were told would flourish from those cuts?

In South Florida, the Haitian community is part of the fabric of who we are.

Extending TPS provides stability, but it can’t be the end of the conversation.

We need real immigration reform that supports families, strengthens our economy, and reflects our shared humanity.

During Black Maternal Health Week, we recognize the importance of access, support, and listening when it comes to maternal health.
