I’m 40+ hours into Assassins Creed Shadows (Switch2) and I don’t feel like I’ve even scratched the surface.
There’s at least three regions that are still entirely unexplored.
Definitely prefer to be a shinobi vs a samurai.

Wife and I started watching Deadloch this last week. Finished final season tonight.
I think the first carried its humour better but both seasons were a good mix of humour and cop drama.
Might be the sweariest show I’ve seen in a while.
Enjoyed Project Hail Mary a lot.
It was right in my wheelhouse.
Might be my fave of the year so far.
Also need to get away from the mythical policy of ‘affordable housing’. It’s a total lie.
And don’t be scared when you build new developments, to build apartment complexes. Not everyone needs a detached house.
I really hope @snp.org have something to match the @scottishgreens.org proposed policy on social housing in their manifesto.
Whilst the right to buy your private rental is a nice idea, I’m not sure many folk will be able to afford it.
There are exceptions of course. The Proclaimers being a big one. And newer Scottish bands seem to be far more comfortable singing with an accent.
California Schemin’ was a good retelling of a ridiculous story. Cast were brilliant.
It got me thinking about how many mainstream Scottish acts don’t really sing with their accents. And this makes me wonder if that comes from direction from the music firms.
I know her haters likely won’t agree but I thought Nicola Sturgeon handled The Assembly very well, despite some very personal, heartbreaking questions.
I still maintain that she was a very good First Minister who didn’t always make the right call but, I believe, always tried to make the right call.
Enjoyed The Drama more than I might have thought I would.
The trailer did a good job of teasing whilst never giving the secret away so I won’t either.
The audience I sat with definitely laughed along with this dark little comedy.
Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are both in good form.
I’m regretting my second character choice as we’ve no fighters on the board and we’re going to have to fight Father Dagon and Mother Hydra to win this one. I’m just being chased by deep ones at this point.
Playing Arkham Horror 3rd Edition seems painfully unfair at 2 player. I get that the Mythos draw is slower and so things arguably escalate slower but you really need to find a good balance at 2 which typically leads to picking meh characters.
Remember when Trump kept going on about Al Capone? Turns out that was his go to for figuring how to treat the world, including US allies.
Guy should’ve been in jail but The Supreme Court was too scared/craven to allow him to go to trial.
Movies in March from worst to best:
Wuthering Heights
Hoppers
They Will Kill You
The Testament of Ann Lee
The Bride
Everybody to Kenmure Street
Good selection. WH was too long and I hated the two main characters. Looked lovely though.
Wife really enjoyed it. Possibly more than she did the first movie.
I enjoyed Super Mario Galaxy. It surprised with some nice Easter Eggs and the introduction of a character I definitely wasn’t expecting.
However, I’d be wrong to call it a great movie.
If you are invested in Mario and Nintendo in general, I’d recommend.
If not, it might not be for you.
We’ve been watching The Sinner on Netflix.
We’re close to the end of season 3.
Season 1 was amazing. Season 2 was very good. Something seems a bit off in season 3. It’s nowhere near as good, though it’s still interesting.
Daredevil: Born Again continues to excel.
I know there was a comic where Fisk was mayor but this feels deeply influenced by this Trump administration and his squad of stormtroopers.
The targeting of enemies. The sensitivity to being parodied.
It’s all there.
By franchise I mean licensed content - Batman and Dune.
We have but haven’t played the Dune one.
It’s taken some time, but my wife and I finally completed Everybody Lies from Portal Games.
I feel like the franchise versions of the Detective series didn’t perform as well as they’d have liked but I’d still like to see more Detective content.
Still feel a modern Lovecraftian story would work well.
Had a lot of fun with ‘They Will Kill You’ as I’m sure the cast did.
Action-comedy-horror isn’t always easy to pull off but I thought this did a decent job.
Though the only horror element was the premise. It’s not a scary movie.
A decent amount of blood splatter throughout its 90+ minutes
Straight out of the Putin/Orban playbook. The making of an evil autocracy. Emphasis on the evil.
Bob Mortimer is a national treasure and he’ll never not be funny.
I will get to play my heavy games one day. It will happen…
And some day I’ll actually start my Frosthaven campaign…
Had an enjoyable game of Emberheart and a slightly frustrating game of White Castle.
The turn economy on that last one feels really restrictive. Late turn order and terrible dice seemed to really fuck me.
Just finished watching Untamed on Netflix. Despite guessing the ‘killer’ early on, I thought it was brilliant.
And Yosemite looked so beautiful.
Should be ‘Everybody to Kenmure Street’.

Nigel Farage and his cronies would absolutely hate this movie which has to be the biggest endorsement you can give a film.
There’s stuff about The Glasgow Girls, Jimmy Reid and the Calder St Swimming Baths, all of which tie into this extraordinary day of community action.
I loved that they made the point of highlighting that the name Kenmure (like many Glasgow streets) has a history in imperialism and the transatlantic slave trade.
But also Glasgow’s history of activism and protest - even mentioning when troops and tanks were sent against strikers.
