At our seder this year, we focused on the Palestinian & Iranian people on the frontlines of war and struggling to access basic needs like food & water. We recommit ourselves to standing against wars & genocide.

This year, may we all be liberated together from the narrow place — no one left behind.

In my family, we always use the Passover story to draw attention to everyone struggling with tyranny and oppression today, breathing new life into a very old tale.

At Passover, we recount the story of the liberation of the Jewish people from slavery in Mitzrayim ("the narrow place"), but we don't just read the story — we are encouraged to relive it through ritual symbolism and to understand personally what it is like to be oppressed.
