I made a "Yellow Wallpaper" piece back in 2017, but I re-read the story over the weekend and wanted to try again. Much happier with this version 🖤

Working on both the cover and endpapers for this book was such a fun challenge. I wanted to be true to the book versions of the characters and setting while also giving nods to the animation fans and previous cover artwork. I'm really happy to have had the opportunity!

About Churro... Biggest Threat - Habitat Loss Churro's Story... Churro perfectly embodies what it means to be an urban sloth: He lives in one of the most densely populated areas of the South Caribbean, where urbanization has left very little of the original rainforest. He juggles his sleeping spots among the few remaining trees scattered among the houses, navigating fences, and avoiding dogs, cars, and people. But whenever he wants to go rouge, he chooses the trees in the swamp of the neighborhood. Stinky water, mosquitoes with tropical diseases, and barbed wires are some of the obstacles researchers have to deal with to get Churro's GPS location. Surely he won't make it easy!

My sloth's tracker stopped tracking. ☹️ But they gave me a new slow buddy to watch...meet Churro! 😃
