Apropos of me finally picking up this book again, and discovering the most mind-bending story in it is 3/4 of the way through, this is a Ted Chiang appreciation post.
This short story collection is astonishing, a monumental work of brilliance.
I think an issue we can all get together on is that designers who ruin historic houses with grey floors and beige and white everything should be in jail.
