The new #GeometryNodes features in Blender 5.0 and 5.1 (@blender3d.bsky.social) are awesome! I've got a working prototype (which I'll share soon) of procedural motion graphics I couldn't do in 4.x that were easy in Blender 5. Great job on documentation, too, so often overlooked in other software. 👍

Wayland + KDE Plasma solved one *major* pain point for me: I can set fractional scaling per monitor. My native 4K laptop now works *so* much better with FHD projectors and the spare monitor in my lab! [2/2]

I wrote both of my U.S. Senators and my U.S. Representative demanding Congress act to stop Trump's war crimes and threatened genocide before it's too late. My Representative is already on our side, so the wording there was supportive rather than confrontational.

People criticize NASA and other science organizations for spending money "in space." Actually, they spend it on Earth, and this generates commercial spinoffs like microwave ovens, heart monitors, and microelectronics. Science gets a tiny fraction of what DoD and DHS waste every year killing people.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt towers over an out-of-focus live turkey during the 2025 annual pardoning at the White House. The camera uses a wide angle lens from an extremely low angle in a style normally reserved for horror films. The turkey being foreground and out of focus makes that nauseating red stuff around its throat look even more repulsive than usual, suggesting an uncanny resemblence to Trump's innermost soul as if depicted in a Fox News documentary.
