Dear elected officials:
You mistook our silence for compliance.
Turns out it was perimenopause buffering.
We watched kids in bunny ears become propaganda, dogs stare at things they shouldn’t have to see, and you shrug like it’s weather.
Now the rage has focus.
And a ballot.
Sleep tight.

"History will remember this day— when an American President and Vice President abandoned all we stand for."
Trump posted 14 times about his Daytona 500 trip—but not once about the deadly flooding in multiple states.
The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?
If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.
If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.
Incompetence in Washington puts every American at risk, no matter how you voted. No one should be happy that the DOGE team - the same folks who randomly published classified U.S. security information online today - wants access to your bank account & Social Security numbers.
Imagine if @aoc @sanders.senate.gov , every dem, SIMULTANEOUSLY held Town Halls where they allowed grant and contract recipients to explain to the country what it is they do and why it's important

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker blocks Jan. 6 rioters from state jobs after Trump pardons.
In a written directive, the Democratic Illinois governor tells his hiring office that "no one who attempts to overthrow a government should serve in government."

This is a 5 alarm fire. They're going to pull down all publicly available data, studies, guidance, etc that involves LGBTQ people so when the worst happens to us, no one will know. They're actively trying to erase us.

The NTSB will be conducting a thorough investigation into last night’s collision of an American Airlines plane with an Army helicopter. It will determine whether recent changes within the FAA or the Dept of Defense ordered by the Trump administration contributed in any way to this horrific accident.
➡️ January 20: FAA director fired
➡️ January 21: Air Traffic Controller hiring frozen

Making America Great Again!
I would like someone psychologically superior for my president, but we all know that’s not gonna happen .
As an educator listening to him go off script, I would recommend tier 2 and most likely tier 3 interventions.
Do not for a second believe the rescind order…buying tine to reword and slip under the radar…until a bill is paid do not believe…
If Trump doesn't reverse course, millions could lose healthcare, food assistance, childcare, and even emergency services.
We've heard reports of Medicaid portals being shut down and childcare funds being frozen. Trump is steering the US into a disaster of his own making.
Courage is being afraid but going on anyhow. We must recognize the resisters, the courageous who are fighting back.
Meals On Wheels is now trying to decide if they can deliver meals to homebound elderly people tomorrow because they are federally funded and now have NO funding. These people have no food stocked in their homes and rely on MOW.
When the president, on every issue, says that he will decide what he is allowed to do under the Constitution and nobody else, every appointee and member of his party obeys because they are either corrupt or afraid of him, and SCOTUS has given him immunity, you have an autocracy.
Let's be clear: the Medicaid portal went offline because of Donald Trump's orders.
The only reason it is back on is due to outrage from the American people.
Now, they are trying to lie about it.
Medicaid was never taken away from Americans under President Biden.
Trump is offering all federal workers a buyout with seven months’ pay to shrink the government—but that’s not the whole story. Reports reveal some employees are being pressured to resign or face termination under the guise of organizational restructuring. In short: take the buyout or be fired.
Yes, there’s hope that funding will be restored. Yes, legal challenges and injunctions are in progress. But the immediate stress, fear, and uncertainty caused by this situation—impacting millions of people, directly and indirectly—is simply not okay.
But for a rural gifted student, finding a space where they are seen, supported, and cared for? That could be life and death for them, too.
Keeping things in perspective, there are larger crises, like the fact that Medicaid portals are closed in all 50 states right now, leaving millions of people without access to life-saving care. That’s life and death for some.
What I do matters. The services I provide for districts, teachers, and kids matter. They matter to me, to the students and educators I serve, and—whether you realize it or not—they should matter to you.
The work I do isn’t driven by a “woke” ideology—though, for the record, I am proud to consider myself woke, and I wear that like a badge of honor. It’s not explicitly DEI-focused, although we serve a wonderfully diverse group of individuals, and I embrace that, too.
But beyond our paychecks, all the services we provide to rural gifted students stop—unless they cost nothing. And let’s face it, very little in education is free: transportation, event spaces, supplies like paper and markers—all of it costs money.
