The Loire towns around Montsoreau are ridiculously gorgeous 😍
Sunrise over a still Loire river this morning. We then had a nice run following a single track along the banks of the river - it was magical.

She's never as happy as she is in the French countryside.
For sure. There is something else it reminds of that I can't quote put my finger on. I'll let you know if it comes to me 😃
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I just can't fathom how anyone thinks that its a good idea literally take money from providing health care to someone and then just give it to another company to make the owners of that wealthier.
We're seriously going to get fat spending 3 months in France 😅
This is them if you need to share with anyone www.car2europe.com/en/
As mentioned, our 3rd time with them and everything is easy and excellent.
The landlord says no, we can't come in, even after those nice head scratches.
Such a great talent.
One of the great honoree Australians, like Billy Connelly
Our charming town of Montsoreau on the Loire river has a beautiful little chateau, cute as heck streets and houses, and of course it's own old river port for wine shipments.
We are here for a week exploring the chateau filled local towns and remarkable troglodyte cave houses.
What us the point of a Tassimo coffee machine? These things are terrible at making coffee. Seriously, if you run an Airbnb or hotel, please just get a Nespresso machine!
Wow - cool! I will admit my heart skipped a beat when the can when slamming down from a meter drop! Glad it made it out safely 😅
That's really nicely done! Have to appreciate that thought and effort.
Fun times 😂😂
Yeah alright Leo, that's enough mead for you tonight big fella.
*Loire 🤦♂️
You too! Lunch time here. We're looking at Loure Valley Chateaus.
Lol - I just imagine him at the pub one night "So I call it a helicopter. The blades up top spin and create a downward force of air which creates lift, yeah? While simultaneously tilting those blades directs that force for steering in any direction. Got it? Now I just need to invent an engine!"
Yep - totally down for me for a few hours earlier.
Even that won't move the needle on voting to get basic social assistance in place for the country.
It really seems that the robber baron era is well and truly back in place, and the population is unable to separate reality from the bollocks they are sold in the (mostly) right wing media.
As a non-American, it's fascinating watching the USA's continuous slide to Brazilianization and the fact that the majority of voters are down with it!
Now parts of Medicare are being privatized, and these companies get paid by denying medical claims!

With this system every car is brand new. It's a lease only available for non EU residents up to 180 days. You pick your car model and it's delivered brand new. You get fully insurance and road side assistance - and you simply hand back at the end. Cheaper than a car rental! It's the 3rd time for us.
Time in NZ and Fiji is always well spent! Enjoy.
Dude was a crazy genius!
We will be going to see his tomb some time in the next week. Surprisingly he lived out his last few years and died in Amboise France!
Today we drove from Paris down to Montsoreau in the Loire Valley.
We have gone with Car2Europe again with a Peugot lease. For less than a car rental cost we get a brand new Peugeot 3008, full insurance and full road side assistance.
We picked her up this morning with just 3km on the clock!
It was the music by Prokofiev. Very dramatic and fitting!
I was surprised to learn that this version, including the choreography, has been around since 1984!
You seem to have had some great experiences with this ballet Donna 👍👍
🤣 better trademark that now!
Last night was our last night in Paris - and what a wonderful send off we had by attending a performance of Romeo and Juliet the ballet by Paris Opera Ballet. A great interpretation and telling of Romeo and Juliet in dance.
